Raytheon to Provide Miniaturized GPS Receivers to Allies

Raytheon Co., Space and Airborne Systems, El Segundo Calif., was awarded a $38,634,619 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for supplies and services necessary for the production and sustainment of the miniaturized airborne Global Positioning Systems receiver 2000-S24 (MAGR 2000-S24). This contract involves foreign military sales to North Atlantic Treaty Organization and other allied countries. The Space and Missile Systems Center, Global Positioning Systems Directorate, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity (FA8807-13-D-0001).

SAIC Awarded Strategic Planning and Analysis Network Contract

Science Applications International Corp., San Diego, Calif., was awarded a $35,883,761 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for software engineering, hardware, integration, technical support, and training requirements of the Integrated Strategic Planning and Analysis Network targeting function, including the areas of National Target Base production and National Desired Ground Zero List development. The 55th Contracting Squadron, Offut Air Force Base, Neb., is the contracting activity. (FA4600-13-D-0001)

Lockheed Martin Receives Space-Based Infrared Systems Funds

Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co., Sunnyvale, Calif. has been awarded a $42,410,080 modification (P00002) to previously awarded contract (FA8810-13-C-0001) for advanced procurement of non-recurring engineering and long-lead materials for the space-based infrared systems GEO 5-6 program. This contract modification provides for the purchase of additional long-lead material items and the associated non-recurring engineering being procured under the basic contract. The contracting activity is the Space Based Infrared Systems Directorate of the Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base Calif.

Australia Firm to Demonstrate GPS Technology

The U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) has signed a Co-operative Research & Development Agreement (CRADA) with Locata Corporation, Canberra, Australia, to build and demonstrate new Locata technology for use in GPS receivers. The CRADA is specifically directed to evaluate Locata’s patented Vray switching antenna and new correlator technologies for multipath mitigation in position receivers that run at GPS frequencies. AFIT will first design and build a GPS-frequency multi-element switching antenna prototype that is based on Locata Vray patents. When built, AFIT intends to use their GPS receiver and this prototype Vray to physically demonstrate the feasibility of using Locata technology to improve GPS receiver performance.

Lockheed Martin to Continue NORAD Support

Lockheed Martin, Colorado Springs, Colo., has announced it will continue supporting the air, space defense and missile warning missions for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex under a $20 million contract modification to the Integrated Space Command and Control (ISC2) program. Under this option, awarded by the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Lockheed Martin will continue to sustain national defense missions at multiple locations worldwide. This is the second option exercised from the contract awarded in October 2012.

Ayak LLC to Replace and Install Electrical Distribution Components

Ayak LLC, Southport, N.C., was awarded a maximum $7,500,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price contract for repair, replacement and installation of various electrical distribution components. Work will include overhead, underground and facilities electrical distribution components. Electrical distribution includes all facility electrical distribution systems such as overhead and underground distribution lines from delivery points to all main service entrance demand meters at buildings, including substations and accessories along with secondary drops to the building service disconnect or first connection into a building's electrical system. The 628th Contracting Squadron located at Joint Base Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (FA4418-13-D-0009).

Crane to Support Surveillance Countermeasures

Crane Electronics Inc., doing business as STC Microwave Systems, Signal Technology Corp., Chandler, Ariz., has been awarded an estimated $12,399,945 indefinite-delivery, requirements, firm-fixed-price contract for repair efforts of ALQ-161A radio frequency surveillance/electronic countermeasure (RFS/ECM) system shop replaceable units. Contract is to acquire depot level repair of nine shop replaceable units in support of ALQ-161A RFS/ECM used on the B-1 aircraft. Air Force Sustainment Center, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity (FA8522-13-D-0006).

FlightSafety Receives KC-10 Training System Contract Modification

FlightSafety Services Corp., Centennial, Colo., has been awarded a $19,876,585 modification (P02A5) to previously awarded contract F33657-01-D-2078 for support of the KC-10 Aircrew Training Systems. The contract modification exercises the seventh program year to provide total acquisition and support for all KC-10 training devices to include Operation and Training System Support Center, Training Management System support, on-site contractor logistics support (CLS), obsolescence and technology insertion, student instruction, CLS on-site maintenance/spares/consumables/repairs, and support equipment maintenance/calibration for aircrew training devices. Contracting activity is the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

ARCTEC Alaska to Operate and Maintain Radar System

ARCTEC Alaska Joint Venture, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska is being awarded a $39,327,456 modification (P00366) to previously awarded contract FA5000-04-C-0011 for the operation and maintenance of the Alaska Radar System, consisting of 15 remote radar sites. The contracting activity is the U.S. Air Force 673rd Contracting Squadron.

BAE Continues to Support Perimeter Defense Radar

BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services, Rockville, Md., has been awarded a $7,300,000 modification (P00106) to previously awarded contract (FA2517-09-C-8000) for the fifth option-year renewal. BAE shall provide non-personal services to operate, maintain, and support the perimeter acquisition radar attack characterization system and site. The 21st Contracting Squadron, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., is the contracting activity.
