Lockheed Martin Announces $320 Million Contract

Lockheed Martin will continue to provide enhanced communications reliability, survivability, information capabilities, and user support within the National Capital Region on behalf of the Air Force District of Washington under a new, approximately $320 million contract, the company has announced. Under the one-year base, nine-options award, Lockheed Martin will run the Network Command Center, supporting the Air Force’s National Capital Region IT communications network used by all Air Force personnel in the Washington, DC region—including the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews, and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. Services will include desktop support, enterprise applications, plans, projects and engineering services, and National Military Command Center support. In addition to the site consolidations, Lockheed Martin also created the Shared Computing Environment, a migration of enterprise platforms across a unified infrastructure of storage, computers, networks, and virtualization environment, establishing a virtual computing space.  

Lockheed Martin Awarded C-5 Software Sustainment Contract

Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga., has been awarded a $27,922,289 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with provision to issue cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price, cost-reimbursement-no-fee contract for the sustainment of C-5 software and the software integration laboratory, engineering support, and to provide an emergency operational flight plan. The cumulative total face value for this acquisition is $27,922,289. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/C-5 Galaxy Center, Robins Air force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity. 

Data Link Solutions to Support Maintenance Wing

Data Link Solutions LLC, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has been awarded a $38,235,386 firm-fixed-price, requirements contract for repair for Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) sustainment and establishment of in-plant MIDS support capability for non-warranty hardware to provide intermediate, depot, and second level repair capability with the 402nd Maintenance Wing (MXW) at Warner-Robins Air Logistics Center. The contracting activity is Air Force Sustainment Center, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. 

Holloman Air Force Base to Build Reaper Hangar

HEW-Phelps, Austin, Texas, was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract with a maximum value of $20,620,000 for the construction of an MQ-9 Maintenance Hangar on Holloman Air Force Base, N.M. The Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque, N.M., is the contracting activity. 

`Lockheed Martin to Support Joint Standoff Missile for Finland and Australia

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, Orlando, Fla., has been awarded a $9,899,914 delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) Common Unique Planning Component software. Foreign Military Sales contract funds in the amount of $9,899,914 are being obligated at time of award for Finland and Australia. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity. 

Boeing Supports Space Based Surveillance System

The Boeing Co., Seal Beach, Calif., has been awarded a $10,892,553 cost-plus-award-fee contract modification for contractor logistic support, analysis, and Type III anomaly support for the Space Based Space Surveillance Block 10 System. This modification provides for the exercise of an option for these services, which are provided under the basic contract. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center/Space Superiority Directorate, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman to Deliver Radar Technology to Five Countries

Northrop Grumman Electronic Business Segment, Linthicum Heights, Md., has been awarded a maximum $115 million firm-fixed-price contract to provide 16 AN/APG-68 (V)9 radar systems for the Royal Thai Air Force and 22 AN/APG-68 (V)9 radar systems for the Republic of Iraq for a total of 38 radar systems. This foreign military sale also includes spares for the Egyptian Air Force, Royal Moroccan Air Force and Pakistan Air Force. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

Rockwell Collins to Support French Air Traffic Control Upgrade

Rockwell Collins Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has been awarded a $44,500,000 firm-fixed-price contract to install the KC-135 Global Air Traffic Management Block 40 Upgrade into three KC-135R French Air Force aircraft. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity. 

Jacobs Technology Awarded Two Service Support Contracts

Jacobs Technology Inc., Lincoln, Mass., was awarded two cost-plus-fixed-fee and cost-reimbursable contract for interim support of services to provide engineering and technology acquisition support services. The contracts are valued at $9,682,777 and $7,543,139. The types of services to be acquired under this contract includes but are not limited to: engineering services, engineering support, technical support, provisioning and logistics, modeling and simulation, configuration and data management, architectural support, test and evaluation, security engineering and certification, capability- based planning, commercial-off-the-shelf integration, integrated master plans and scheduling and technical review assistance to approximately 400 system/program activities. Work will be performed at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., with primary geographically separated units at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio, Maxwell AFB, Ala., Tinker AFB, Okla., Lackland AFB, Texas, Randolph AFB, Texas, Peterson AFB, Colo., and Offutt AFB, Neb., with an expected completion date of Nov. 19, 2013. This contract was a sole source acquisition and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity.  Contract has an foreign military sales component as the contract requires company to travel overseas for host nation support.
