General Atomics to Retrofit Reapers

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems of Poway, California, is being awarded an $87,338,761 firm fixed price, cost plus fixed fee contract for MQ-9 Reaper FY10/11 Retrofit Kits and Installations for up to 80 aircraft. The contracting activity is the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Northrop Grumman Brings Home More BACN Funds

Northrop Grumman Space and Mission Systems Corporation of San Diego, California, is being awarded a $7,160,966 contract modification for operational improvements to the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node payload (BACN). The contracting activity is the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts.

Raytheon Awarded Navigational Systems Contract

Raytheon Company, McKinney, Texas, was awarded a firm-fixed-price, sole-source contract with a maximum $10,200,000 for navigational systems and parts. Using military service is Air Force. The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity.

 

Combatant Commanders Command and Control Systems to be Upgraded

Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Services, Colorado Springs, Colorado, is being awarded a $10,100,000 contract modification to upgrade Combatant Commanders Integrated Command and Control System (CCIC2S) Enterprise and PDS-M workstations to Windows 7 and server 2008. The location of the performance is Colorado Springs, Colorado. AFLCMC/HBQK, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, is the contracting activity.

Northrop to Continue Operating BACN for Contingency Operations

The U.S. Air Force awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation, McLean, Virginia, two contract modifications totaling $156 million to continue operating and maintaining the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) system in support of overseas contingency missions. The company was awarded a $106 million contract modification to extend the deployment and operation of BACN payloads installed in three E-11A Bombardier Global Express BD-700 aircraft and three EQ-4B Block 20 Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles. The award supports operations through June 2013. Additionally, the company was awarded a $50 million contract modification for platform maintenance support of three E-11A aircraft - numbers 9355, 9358 and 9001 - through February 2013.

Raytheon to Upgrade Missile Defense Radar Under Potential $176 Million Contract

The Missile Defense Agency is announcing the award of a competitive contract combining cost-plus-award-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee, and fixed-price-incentive-fee, to Raytheon Company Integrated Defense Systems, Woburn, Massachusetts. The total value of this contract is estimated at $125,343,763. This contract also contains options, which, if exercised, will increase the cumulative contract value to $176,084,507. Under this contract, the contractor will upgrade the Early Warning Radar (EWR) at Clear Air Force Station (AFS), Alaska, with an option to upgrade the EWR at Cape Cod AFS, Massachusetts. This is a joint Missile Defense Agency/Air Force effort and will be funded by fiscal 2012 through 2017 Missile Defense Agency Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) funds, and Air Force Other Procurement funds. The Missile Defense Agency, Huntsville, Alabama, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Receives $108 Million ICBM Cryptography Contract

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation, Herndon, Virginia a three-year, $108 million contract to develop and implement cryptography upgrades as part of the intercontinental ballistic missile cryptography upgrade II engineering and manufacturing development program. The Northrop Grumman-led ICBM prime team is responsible for overall sustainment of the weapon system including development, production, deployment and system modifications.

BAH to Develop Survivability Technology

Booz Allen Hamilton Incorporated, Hendon, Virginia, is being awarded a $21,145,243 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery, and requirements contract for research and development in order to complete survivability technology and vulnerability of threat assessments, risk assessments and forecast reports, and the survivability and vulnerability resource analysis report. The contractor logistics support sustainment division will use these scientific and technical information reports to create a single, all-hazards program focus that shall minimize vulnerability. ESG/PKS DTIC, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, is the contracting activity.

Boeing to Install Radar Systems for Saudi Arabian Air Force

The Boeing Company, Seattle, Washington, is being awarded a $66,814,404 firm-fixed-price foreign military sales contract for the installation and check out of Group A and B radar system improvement kits for the Royal Saudi Air Force fleet of five Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.

Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Cryptography Contract Modified
