Boeing Provides Helmet Mounted Cueing System

Boeing Company, St. Louis, Missouri, was awarded a $59 million contract to provide for joint helmet mounted cueing system full rate production seven for the Air Force and foreign military sales. At this time, the entire amount has been obligated. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

Alenia to Provide Tactical Transport Aircraft Training to Afghanistan Air Force

Alenia North America has been awarded an approximately $4 million contract by the United States Air Force to provide training of pilots, loadmasters and maintenance personnel on the C-27/G.222 tactical transport aircraft for the Afghanistan Air Force. This is a follow-on contract to a previous contract with the U.S. Air Force, which had three training classes on the C-27/G.222. This new contract will consist of four training classes over the next year. In 2008, the company received a contract to supply 18 refurbished C-27/G.222 aircraft for the Afghanistan Air Force. The C-27/G.222 serves as the backbone of the Afghanistan Air Force and has significantly expanded the Afghanistan military's ability to provide humanitarian aid and security to the Afghan population.

AMPEX and Calculex to Provide Airborne Data Recorders

Lockheed Awarded Support Contract Modification

The Systems Group to Support Saudi Arabia AWACS

The Systems Group, LLC, Bonaire, Georgia, was awarded a nearly $8 million contract to provide technical support services to the U.S. Air Force in support of its role to assist the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with programmatic, technical and financial planning for AWACS and other aircraft platforms; command, control, communications, computers and intelligence, and training. Electronic Systems Command, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman to Provide Prototype Pod-Mounted MQ-9 Reaper

Northrop Grumman Space and Missions Systems Corporation, San Jose, California, recently received two MQ-9 Reaper awards. The first is a contract valued at more than $23 million, which provides for the design and build of a pod-mounted prototype for the MQ-9 platform. The second is a contract modification, for which more than $5 million has been obligated. Under the modification, Northrop Grumman will provide for a prototype sensor for the MQ-9 installed in a pod to support a limited flight demonstration of the Airborne Signals Intelligence Payload-2 functionally. The contractor shall support the General Atomics effort to certify the pod for airworthiness on the MQ-9. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Provides Satellite On-Orbit Operations and Sustainment

Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, Newtown, Pennsylvania, was awarded a contract modification valued at more than $10 million, which will provide on-orbit operations and sustainment for the PGS IIR satellites, for one year beginning Nov. 1, 2010 through Oct. 31, 2011. Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, is the contracting activity.

L-3 Awarded Airborne Information Management System Contract
