Leidos, Reston, Virginia (W911QY-17-D-0017); AASKI Technologies Inc., Tinton Falls, New Jersey (W911QY-17-D-0018); and AAI Corporation/Textron, Hunt Valley, Maryland, will share in a $900,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for technical services and field support in support of Product Office Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems. Leidos Inc., Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, was awarded a competitive, hybrid contract that consists of cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee and cost-reimbursable (without fee) contract types to provide a modernized Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems solution in support of the Army Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communication-Tactical mission requirements. The face value of this action is $58,055,265 and is funded by fiscal 2016 and 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funding. Contractor will develop a portable system for real-time standoff detection and identification of trace chemical residues on surfaces using active infrared spectroscopy at a 30-meter range. Work will be performed at Reston, Virginia, and is expected to be complete by October 3, 2020. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition with 17 offers received. Fiscal 2015 research and development funds in the amount of $3,687,539 are being obligated at the time of award.

Leidos Inc., Reston, Virginia, has been awarded an $18,745,838 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development. This contract aims to dramatically improve the ability to detect and geolocate high frequency emitters. The previous phase, Phase 1, of the program addressed technical innovations to accomplish this objective, including the ability to accurately resolve multiple angles-of-arrival and polarization states through novel antenna concepts; the ability to enhance signal-to-noise ratio and signal detection through the use of multi-dimensional adaptive signal processing; and the ability to accurately determine the dynamic state of the ionosphere.

Leidos Inc., Reston, Virginia, was awarded a $30,625,281 cost-plus-fixed-fee, incrementally funded contract with options for continued operations, support, maintenance, logistic, and engineering services to operate the Night Eagle counter-improvised explosive device airborne detection system in Afghanistan. Work will be performed in Bridgewater, Virginia; Afghanistan; Santa Rosa, California; Silver Spring, Maryland; Princeton, New Jersey; and Poway, California, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 25, 2017. One bid was solicited with one received. Fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $26,400,000 were obligated at the time of the award.
