Katmai Research Modifies Marine Corps Contract for System Software Support

ILSC Holdings LC, dba Katmai Research, is receiving a ceiling $45.7 million contract modification to perform post-deployment software support, system software support facility support and sustainment of the AN/TYQ-23, tactical air operations module. The modification will provide increased support for the design, development and implementation of interface change proposals and problems change requests of tactical software for the AN/TYQ-23 version four. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

McDonnell Douglas to Supply U.S. Navy with Exercise Missiles

McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, has received a $149.8 million, firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of nine standoff land attack missile-expanded response (SLAM-ER) exercise missiles for the U.S. Navy. The missiles will be retrofitted and certified from SLAMs to SLAM-ERs. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Point One Wins Cyberspace Contract for National Military Strategy for Cyberspace Operations

Point One Incorporated, a subsidiary of XeDAR Corporation, has been chosen as lead contractor by the Maryland Procurement Office for implementing the National Military Strategy for Cyberspace Operations.

Northrop Grumman and Raytheon Receive Contract for Sensors Technology Automated Recognition

Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems and Raytheon Company have received a $41 million, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee type task order for sensors technology automated recognition. The companies will develop technologies in a wide range of application areas to continue to advance the technical improvements to warfighters.

Science Applications International Corporation and Lockheed Martin to Support U.S. Air Force

Science Applications International Corporation and Lockheed Martin have been selected by the U.S. Air Force Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Warner Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, to support the future flexible acquisition and sustainment tool (F2AST) program. The contract has a three-year base period of performance with two two-year options with a total value of $6.9 billion. F2AST will support Air Force weapons systems, and the contract includes work on special operations forces C-130s and B-52 sustainment and avionics systems. It also combines existing flexible acquisition and sustainment tool (FAST) and integrated weapons system support program (IWSSP) requirements.

Fortress Technologies Joins Telos Corporation on Defense Manpower Data Center Identity Protection Program

Fortress Technologies has joined with Telos Corporation to support the implementation of the Defense Department's Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) identity protection and management programs. Fortress will provide its Fortress Secure Wireless Bridges, which will enable a secure wireless link between handheld devices and a DMDC database. The devices will be used at U.S. military checkpoints worldwide to provide real-time authorization for active duty military personnel, Defense Department civilian employees, eligible contractors and selected others. The one-year contract has a potential value of $582 million with four one-year options.

Testbed Development for JCREW

A testbed to support the Joint Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare (JCREW) program will be developed and demonstrated. The U.S. government will use the testbed to develop and test advanced open architecture technology for counter-improvised explosive device (IED) systems development.
