Information Systems Receives U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory Contract

Information Systems Worldwide Corporation, Arlington, Virginia, was awarded a more than $23 million contract to conduct gap-filling research and enhance the existing software architecture to search information; rapidly acquire new contextual information; and deliver timely information across domains. This research will support and enhance the current analytic workflow and provide enhanced sharing of information. Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, New York, is the contracting activity.

SAIC to Support Air Vehicle Simulation

Science Applications International Corporation, McLean, Virginia, is being awarded a nearly $11 million contract for technical and engineering services in support of the Naval Air Systems Command's Air Vehicle Engineering Department and the manned flight simulator/air combat environment test and evaluation facilities. Services to be provided support the development and utilization of advanced air vehicle technology for evaluating air vehicle flying qualities and controllability, developing simulation software, and building prototype simulations. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

SAIC Receives Interoperable Communications Contract

Science Applications International Corporation, McLean Virginia, is being awarded a contract with a potential value of more than $41 million for technical and engineering services in support of the Interoperable Communications Technical Assistance Program (ICTAP) to provide interoperable communications support to first responder agencies. Support will include voice communications interoperability technical assistance to public jurisdictions, including law enforcement, fire protection, medical emergency services, and others involved in preventing or responding to threats to public safety. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific is the contracting activity.

EDO to Support Australian Electronic Warfare Efforts

EDO Communications & Countermeasures Systems, Thousand Oaks, California, is being awarded a $17 million contract modification for the production and support of 265 JCREW 2.1 radio-controlled improvised explosive device (RCIED) electronic warfare (CREW) systems to Australia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Vehicle mounted CREW systems are one element of the U.S. Defense Department's Joint Counter RCIED Electronic Warfare program. Spiral 2.1 CREW systems are vehicle mounted electronic jammers designed to prevent the initiation of radio-controlled improvised explosive devices. This contract is for the urgent procurement and support of CREW systems, to be used by Australian forces. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman to Convert TE-2C Aircraft to Hawkeye 2000

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Bethpage, New York, is being awarded a nearly $12 million delivery order against a previously issued basic order agreement to convert two TE-2C aircraft into E-2C Hawkeye 2000 aircraft. Navy Modifies Friend or Foe Identification Contract for Multiple Governments

BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Incorporated, Greenlawn, New York, is being awarded a $25 million contract modification to exercise an option for the procurement and integration of various CXP identification friend or foe hardware for the U.S. Navy, Army, and Air Force; and the governments of Canada, Taiwan, and Saudi Arabia. Hardware being procured includes common digital transponders, mounts, receivers and transmitters, signal processors, power supplies, battery packs, and Mode 5 modification kits. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Bluefin Robotics Awarded Option for Unmanned Underwater System

Bluefin Robotics, Quincy, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $30 million contract modification to exercise option III for the explosive ordnance disposal Hull Unmanned Underwater Localization Systems (HULS) production systems. The HULS production systems support Naval Forces and the Naval Explosive Ordnance Technology Division in conducting ship hull and piers and pilings search operations. The contract was structured in three phases: demonstration, prototype, and production of the HULS systems. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Raytheon to Provide Multispectral Targeting System Spares

U.S. Air Force Modifies Command and Control Consolidation Contract

Lockheed Martin to Upgrade C-5 Avionics

Lockheed Martin Corporation, Marietta, Georgia, recently received a $16 million contract for the development, integration, and testing activities of the first C-5 block upgrade program 01 for those aircraft modified by the avionics modernization program. This portion of the upgrade program is to establish a common software baseline between the two programs and install a third core processing module. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center Aerospace Sustainment Directorate - Galaxy Division, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is the contracting activity.
