Honeywell to Provide Aircraft Displays

Honeywell International Incorporated, Defense & Space Electronic Systems, Albuquerque, New Mexico, is being awarded an $8 million contract modification for the procurement of 131 advanced multi-purpose displays (68 5x5 forward displays; 42 5x5 aft displays; and 21 8x10 displays) for Lot 35 F/A-18F and EA-18G aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Alloy Surface Awarded Infrared Decoy Delivery Order

Alloy Surface Company, Aston, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a more than $19 million delivery order for the manufacture of MJU-64/B infrared decoy devices.  The U.S. Naval Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity.

Arete Receives Mine Warfare Contract

Arete Associates, Tucson, Arizona, is being awarded a $26 million contract for the engineering, manufacturing, production and delivery of three Coastal Battlefield Reconnaissance and Analysis (COBRA) AN/DVS-1 low rate initial production Block 1 systems as part of the Mine Warfare Mission Package onboard the littoral combat ship.  As a result of this Small Business Innovative Research Phase III award, the COBRA system will have the software that satisfies the performance requirements, the mine counter measure, intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance, and tactical littoral sensor modes installed. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, Panama City Beach, Florida, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin to Provide Sonar System Upgrade Kits

Lockheed Martin Sippican Incorporated, Marion, Massachusetts, is being awarded a potential $235 million contract for the production of MK48 Mod 7 Common Broadband Advanced Sonar System (CBASS) functional item replacement (FIR) kits, engineering services hours, hardware repair support, test equipment, additional spares and production support material. The MK48 Mod 7 kit production program will supply the U.S. Navy with FIR upgrade kits consisting of a guidance and control box, broadband analog sonar receiver, preamplifier, cable assemblies, and guidance and control materials. The CBASS program will provide the MK48 ADCAP Mod 6 torpedo with a wide band sonar system, and the advanced broadband signal processing algorithms, which will allow for enhanced detection and prosecution of shallow water threat targets employing advanced countermeasures. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Eight Companies Awarded Potential $183 Million Sustainment Contracts

The following companies are being awarded contracts potentially valued at $183 million each for Integrated Security Systems Sustainment support services: Lockheed Martin Corporation; Chenega Technical Services Corporation; Dataline; BAE Systems Technology Solutions and Services; M.C. Dean; DRS Technical Services; L-3 Services; and Systems Applications and Solutions. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting activity.

SRI to Continue Operations of Ground Penetrating Radar

Lockheed Martin to Support Operation Enduring Freedom

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors, Akron, Ohio, was recently awarded an $85 million contract for the procurement of 42 MX-20 lite sensor B-kits; 21 MX-20 lite installation A-kits; five upgraded ground control stations and associated gondolas, to include required software upgrades; and 10 STARLite installation A-kits in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

General Atomics Awarded Over $335 Million for Unmanned Aircraft Hardware

ITT to Support Electronic Jammer Systems

ITT Corporation, Thousand Oaks, California, is being awarded a more than $8 million basic ordering agreement for engineering service support for Counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare (CREW) Vehicle Receiver Jammer (CVRJ) systems, fielded in theater. The CREW CVRJ systems are electronic jammers that are mounted in vehicles and at fixed-site compounds that prevent the detonation of radio-controlled improvised explosive devices. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane Indiana, is the contracting activity.
