Boeing to Retrofit Globemaster IIIs With Countermeasures System

The Boeing Company, Long Beach, California, was awarded a $15 million contract modification to the C-17 Globemaster III sustainment partnership contract to retrofit aircraft with large aircraft infrared countermeasures, a mission critical laser-based countermeasures system required to defend mobility air forces aircraft against lethal heat-seeking missiles. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

SRI and Telcordia to Provide Intelligence Technology

SRI International, Menlo Park, California, and Telcordia Technologies Incorporated, Piscataway, New Jersey, were each awarded contracts to develop and demonstrate new technology that provides the ability to quickly produce actual intelligence from unanticipated, multiple, varied data sets. SRI received a $16 million contract, Telcordia $13 million. The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Receives $99 Million Weapons Planning Software Contract

Northrop Receives Potential $2.63 Billion For Department of Homeland Security Information Technology Infrastructure

Northrop Grumman Corporation has been awarded a potential $2.63 billion task order by the U.S. General Services Administration to install a campus-wide information technology infrastructure for secure communications and operations at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) St. Elizabeths headquarters in Washington, D.C. Northrop Grumman will design, install, test, operate and maintain a seamless, integrated and secure information technology solution throughout the DHS consolidated headquarters campus. The company will provide a top-level security and information platform for the department to execute its homeland security missions, including interfacing with the departments' cyber security resources.

Boeing to Update B-52 Offensive Avionics System Software

Boeing Company Integrated Defense Systems, Wichita, Kansas, was awarded an $11 million contract modification, which will provide B-52 software updates to expand the offensive avionics system operational capabilities to correct deficiencies. L-3 to Provide Clip-on Night Vision Device to U.S. Special Forces

L-3 Communications Corporation Electro-Optical Systems, Garland, Texas, is being awarded a contract valued at more than $48 million for a clip-on night vision and image intensification device in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command weapons accessories program. The device is being procured to provide U.S. Special Operations Command operators with a ruggedized sight that permits night vision capability without the need to remove the day optic sight. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Indiana, is the contracting activity.

NAVMAR Receives Laser Radar Identification Demonstration Award

NAVMAR Applied Sciences Corporation, Warminster, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $9 million order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for a Phase III Small Business Innovation Research project under topic N92-170 entitled "LADAR Identification Demonstration." This order provides for development, integration, and support of advanced surveillance sensors for an operational Navy Squadron for the Special Projects Program. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey is the contracting activity.

QinetiQ to Provide Submarine Laser Communication System

QinetiQ North America Operations, Limited Liability Company, is being awarded a more than $31 million contract for the Tactical Relay Information Network program to provide a submarine laser communication system that operates in the blue spectrum for evaluation during a naval exercise in fiscal 2012.
