Alion Supports U.S. Army Modeling and Simulation Office

Alion Science and Technology is continuing to support the U.S. Army Modeling and Simulation Office under a task order valued at more than $3 million. Alion will continue to provide subject matter expertise and services to support the Army Modeling and Simulation Office and the Modeling and Simulation Proponent Office's mission to train and supply qualified modeling and simulation professionals to the Army, recruit and manage the modeling and simulation community to best meet the Army's warfighting needs and to create a fully trained Army modeling and simulation community.

Three Phoenix to Provide Photonics Mast Technology to U.S. Navy

Three Phoenix Incorporated, Fairfax, Virginia, is being awarded a nearly $6 million firm-fixed-price modification to previously awarded contract for a technology insertion photonics mast. The procurement of this mast will allow for the continued engineering assessment, design and development of a non-developmental item submarine optronics system.  The Small Business Innovative Research Phase III contract is to provide engineering services to support software development, procurement of commercial off-the-shelf products, and hardware/software integration required to provide improved technology for U.S. Navy open architecture and network centric operations, and warfare systems in support of USS Virginia class submarine and other submarine/surface ship systems. Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Receives $12 Million U.S. Navy Contract

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors, Owego, New York, is being awarded a $12 million order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for services required to address obsolescence of the SP-103C single board computer shop replaceable assembly utilized within the tech-insert mission computer and tech-insert flight management computer. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Telos to Replace Web Server Proxy for Combat Information System Program

Telos Corporation recently received a $13 million order from the U.S. Air Force to deliver a web proxy server replacement as well as certify and accredit an advanced software version for the Combat Information Transport System program. The network management initiative will replace aging equipment and improve security, and includes hardware, software, training, and certification and accreditation services. This contract was awarded through the Network Centric Solutions contract vehicle.

L-3 Announces First International Sale of Advanced Helmet Mounted Display

L-3 Link Simulation & Training recently announced the first international sale of its Advanced Helmet Mounted Display to Raytheon Australia in support of the Royal Australian Air Force's Hornet Aircrew Training System. The award calls for L-3 Link to provide Advanced Helmet Mounted Displays  to support pilot training on the RAAF's three F/A-18 Tactical Readiness Trainers. L-3 Link's Advanced Helmet Mounted Display will replace current fixed field-of-view flat panel displays, enabling pilots to view out-the-window imagery and systems symbology over a 360-degree field-of-regard.

General Dynamics Awarded $30 Million for Joint Biological Point Detection Systems

General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products has been awarded a potential $300 million contract by the U.S. Army for production and field support of Joint Biological Point Detection Systems (JBPDS). The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Acquisition Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, awarded the contract. The JBPDS is a self-contained instrument suite that rapidly detects and identifies biological warfare agents. Available in man-portable, shelter-based, ship-based and trailer-mounted variants, the JBPDS can be configured to meet the operational requirements of the U.S. Army and Navy.

Adventium to Develop Virtual Cyber Defender

Adventium Enterprise Limited Liability Company, Minneapolis, Minnesota, was awarded a nearly $24 million contract to develop a trusted virtual cyber defender that meets the technical, logistic, and economic constraints presented by the U.S. Air Force computing infrastructure. Data Link Solutions to Modify Link 16 Joint Tactical Distribution System Terminals

Data Link Solutions Limited Liability Company, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a potential $37 million contract to implement Link 16 network modifications in the legacy Link 16 Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) terminals.  Modifications for JTIDS terminal variants consist of crypto modernization and frequency remapping. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, California, is the contracting activity.
