Raytheon Continues X-Band Radar Support Under Nearly $43 Million Modification

Raytheon Company Integrated Defense Systems, Woburn, Massachusetts, is being awarded a contract modification for nearly $43 million to continue software maintenance in support of the AN/TYP-2 X-Band Radar. The Missile Defense Agency is the contracting activity.

L-3 Receives $170 Million Special Operations Command Contract

L-3 Global Communications Solutions Incorporated, Victor, New York, was awarded a contract with a ceiling of $170 million for the integration, configuration, test and sustainment of the Special Operations Forces Deployable Node-Lite (SDN-L) in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command Research, Development and Acquisition Center. The SDN-L will provide the tactical communicator an enhanced operational capability; an increase in bandwidth/data throughput; enhanced security capability; and an overall size and weight reduction as compared to existing legacy systems. U.S. Special Operations Command is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Awarded $155 Million for Sonar System Improvement, Integration

Lockheed Martin Corporation Maritime Systems and Sensors, Manassas, Virginia, was recently awarded a $155 million contract modification for the design and support of the manufacture of hardware for the Acoustic Rapid Commercial-off-the-shelf Insertion (A-RCI) system improvement and integration program. A-RCI is a sonar system that integrates and improves towed array, hull array, sphere array, and other ship sensor processing through rapid insertion of commercial-off-the-shelf-based hardware and software. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Receives Nearly $47 Million Navy Award

Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems, Sudbury, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $46.8 million modification to a previously awarded contract for the definitization of the production of an AN/SPY-1D(V) transmitter group, MK 99 Mod 8 fire control system and engineering services in support of the DDG 113 Aegis weapons systems ship set. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.

SAIC Receives $19 Million U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory Contract

Science Applications International Corporation, McLean, Virginia, was awarded a $19 million contract to develop and demonstrate new technology that provides comprehensive, automated techniques to allow end users to safely execute new software of uncertain provenance. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

Boeing to Integrate Virtual Training System into T-45C Aircraft

The Boeing Company, St. Louis, Missouri, is being awarded an $8 million delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for non-recurring engineering associated with the integration of a synthetic radar Virtual Mission Training System (VMTS) into T-45C aircraft. Efforts to be provided include design, integration, test, validation and verification of two flight-worthy VMTS retrofit kits. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

DTI Associates to Support U.S. Navy High-Priority Technology Programs

DTI Associates Incorporated has been awarded an $11 million the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division requirement for continuing and uninterrupted engineering support performed in support of Engagement Systems Department programs and activities. This contract will provide engineering support for critical and high-priority programs such as Precision Strike Package; Littoral Combat Ship; Electromagnetic Railgun Launcher; GunPACS; and Strategic Border Initiative.

General Dynamics to Provide Smart Display Units for U.S. Armored Vehicles

General Dynamics Canada recently received an order to supply more than 1,000 Smart Display Units for installation in U.S. Army Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles. The order represents the first use of General Dynamics Canada's technology on the MRAP platform, expanding the reach of the company's comprehensive suite of vehicle electronics currently embedded in the majority of the U.S. armoured vehicle fleet. The MRAP vehicles' command, control, communications and computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities are being upgraded to support future growth and improve operational capability for the crews. General Dynamics Canada received the order from WestWind Technologies Inc., which was recently awarded a contract by the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Life Cycle Management Command.

Northrop Grumman to Provide Warning and Control System Amplifiers to France, Saudi Arabia

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Electronic Systems, Baltimore, Maryland, was awarded a nearly $10 million contract to replace narrow band klystron power amplifiers with wide band klystron power amplifiers for the Saudi Arabia and French Airborne Warning and Control System fleets. The U.S. Air Force Electronic Systems Command, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusettes, is the contracting activity.
