ManTech Awarded $19.5 Million Contract Support Ship Radiated Noise Measurement

ManTech International Corporation recently announced that it was awarded a $19.5 million contract by the U.S. Navy, Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Keyport Division, to provide engineering, programmatic and technical support services for Navy range acoustic test support programs, including the Surface Ship Radiated Noise Measurement and Fleet Sonar Self Noise programs. The contract has an initial one-year period and four one-year renewal options.

L-3 Communications to Power C4ISR Under $175 Million U.S. Army Contract

L-3 Communications Westwood Corp., Tulsa, Oklahoma, was recently awarded a $175 million contract modification by the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command to provide 30 and 60 kilowatt tactical quiet generator sets to provide the necessary and critical power for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance equipment and combat support systems.  The modification was issued to increase the contract ceiling amount to $376 million with an estimated completion date of March 1, 2011.

Integral Systems Receives $13 Million Contract Due to Space Vehicle Launch Delays

Integral Systems, Inc., Columbia, Maryland, was awarded a contract modification of more than $13 million, which will extend the contract for the command and control system-consolidated program by one year to accommodate launch delays on the Advanced Extremely High Frequency Space Vehicles 1, 2 and 3. Space & Missiles System Center, Military Satellite Communications Systems Wing, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting office.

U.S. Army Awards Nearly $400 Million Sky Warrior Unmanned Aerial Systems Contract

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc, recently received $195.5 million in funding from the U.S. Army toward an estimated $399 million contract to provide supplemental hardware and low-rate initial production of its Sky Warrior unmanned aerial system in support of the Army's Extended Range/Multi-Purpose unmanned aerial system program. Full funding is expected later this summer and will provide for 34 Sky Warrior aircraft, 16 ground control stations, airborne and ground tactical control data link equipment and various other items to include automatic landing systems, spares, and ground support equipment.

DISA Extends Joint Interoperability Test Command Contracts

The Defense Information Systems Agency issued a bridge extension for three Joint Interoperability Test Command multiple-award Omnibus contracts-two held by Northrop Grumman, and another by Interop Joint Venture II. Set to expire August 31, the contracts will be extended six months with three two-month option periods. The extension will add up to $70 million to each contract, changing the total contract ceilings from $1.05 billion to $1.12 billion.

General Dynamics Receives C4IS2 Logistics Support Services Award

The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia, recently awarded General Dynamics Information Technology, Intelligence Solutions Division, Fairfax, Virginia, a nearly $12 million contract to provide logistics support services in support of command, control, communications, computers and intelligence sustainment support (C4IS2) systems. This contract will continue logistics support services for critical Marine Corps C4IS2 systems while a follow-on contract is competed and will provide a transition between the current intelligence information, command and control, equipment and enhancements contract, which expires on June 30, and the follow-on contract.

MDA Awards Multiple Information Assurance and Security Contracts

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) awarded advisory and assistance services contracts to Booz Allen Hamilton, McLean, Virginia; Lockheed Martin Services Incorporated, Gaithersburg, Maryland; and QinetiQ North America, Fairfax, Virginia, to provide advisory and assistance services to the Security and Intelligence Operations Directorate. Each contract has a ceiling of about $365 million. The contractors will assist the directorate in providing information assurance, security, intelligence and counterintelligence services to protect the MDA and Ballistic Missile Defense Systems technologies.

Lockheed Martin To Provide Simulator Capabilities for F-35 Through Navy Award

The Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River, Maryland, has awarded a $4.4 million contract to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company for development, integration, verification, and validation of verification of simulator capabilities for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The work for this not-to-exceed modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-award-fee contract will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, with completion planned for October 2014.

Company To Participate in Analysis Center Consolidation Via DTIC Contract Award

The Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) has chosen Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc., and its partners as one of nine indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity multiple award contracts covering software, networks, information, and modeling and simulation. Under the terms of the contract, which has a maximum value of $2 billion over the next five years, ARA will help consolidate customer-funded efforts of three Defense Department information analysis centers, which are under DTIC direction.
