Coast Guard Selects Contractors For Rescue Swimmer Training Facility

The U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Defense Department has selected an engineering and contracting team composed of the OAK Group, L. Robert Kimball & Associates, and Henderson, Inc., to design and build a $22.8 million U.S. Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer Training Faciltiy in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Under the agreement, the OAK Group, which assembled the team, will provide construction services and manage the overall project; L.R. Kimball will oversee the design, architecture and building engineering for the facility; and Henderson, Inc. will support the facility with day-to-day contracting and subcontractor management activities.

UK Awards Raytheon/Lockheed Martin Joint Venture For Javelin Missile Rounds

The United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence has awarded the Raytheon Company-Lockheed Martin Javelin Joint Venture a $176 million contract for more than 1,300 Javelin missile rounds and associated engineering support. The joint venture will begin delivering missiles to the U.K. in 2010 and continue through 2012.

SMS Wins U.S. Army Information Technology Infrastructure Contract

SMS Data Products Group, Inc., (SMS) has been awarded a multi-million dollar information technology infrastructure contract by the U.S. Army. A subcontractor to Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA), SMS will expand existing fiber optic and copper wire infrastructure an additional 80 miles to meet key warfighter safety and communication training requirements.

CSC Wins Contract to Support Littoral Combat Ship Acquisition Program

The U.S. Navy has awarded CSC a five-year contract with a potential value of $169 million to support the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Program Office. Under the contract, the company will provide program, business and financial management; systems and life-cycle engineering and support; and production planning for LCS seaframes and combat systems currently under construction by Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics.

L-3 Wins Army Training Contract

The U.S. Army has awarded L-3 Communications a $162.7 million contract to support the Army Central Command's Kuwait Observer-Controller Team program. Under the contract, the company will be a subcontractor to Raytheon to provide training for U.S. and coalition forces at the Udari Range in Kuwait.

General Dynamics Awarded Gun System Contract by Raytheon

General Dynamics has been awarded a $17 million contract to produce gun systems for the Phalanx Block 1B Close-In Weapon System and the Centurion Land-Based Phalanx Weapon System by Raytheon Missile Systems. The gun systems will be produced at the General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products facility in Saco, Maine.

Raytheon to Design and Develop Israeli Missile Defense System

Raytheon Company has been awarded a contract worth more than $100 million by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. to design and develop the David's Sling Weapon System (DSWS). DSWS will intercept short-range ballistic missiles, large caliber rockets and cruise missiles in their terminal flight phase.

Joint Venture Awarded Contract for Javelin Weapon System

The U.S. Army has awarded a joint venture by the Raytheon Company and Lockheed Martin a $214 million contract for production of the Javelin Close Combat Weapons System. The Javelin Joint Venture will produce the Javelin missile and command launch units and will provide training and field support.

Lockheed Martin Awarded Contract to Develop Cyber Information Assurance

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $31 million contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to develop new cyber assurance procedures to improve security, dynamic bandwidth allocation and policy-based prioritization levels at the individual unit level.

JFCOM Awards Lockheed Martin Team $29 Million Contract for Advanced Video Intelligence System

The U.S. Joint Forces Command (JFCOM) has awarded a Lockheed Martin team a $29 million contract for Valiant Angel, a new system that will apply highly advanced broadcasting technologies to help commanders collect, manage, process, exploit and disseminate full-motion video. The team includes Harris Corporation and NetApp.
