Insitu Supports ScanEagle in Afghanistan

Insitu Inc., Bingen, Wash., is being awarded a $7,826,247 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract to exercise an option for operational and maintenance services in support of the ScanEagle unmanned aerial systems. These services will provide electro-optical/infra red and mid-wave infra red imagery in support of land based operations in Operation Enduring Freedom and other overseas contingency operations to provide real-time imagery and data. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

U.S. Special Forces Command Awards Potential $190 Million Unmanned Aircraft System Contract

Insitu Inc., Bingen, Wash., has been awarded a $1,000,000 minimum - $190,000,000 maximum, twenty-five month, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) support to U.S. Special Operations Command. The contract is for the Mid-Endurance Unmanned Aircraft System (MEUAS) ISR service using contractor-owned and contractor-operated equipment. The work will be performed in Bingen, Wash., and overseas. U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity.

The Netherlands Purchases ScanEagle

Insitu, Bingen, Washington, recently announced that it has signed a contract to deliver its ScanEagle unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to the Netherlands to provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) for the Ministry of Defense (MOD). The Netherlands will use ScanEagle both domestically and abroad. ScanEagle will provide an ISR capability during the second half of 2012, replacing a program that ended in the middle of 2011. Looking forward, Netherlands MOD and Insitu plan to continue to explore the potential for multi-mission ISR capabilities using a next-generation Insitu UAS that carries multiple ISR sensors and enables rapid, robust payload integration.
