CSI to Provide Rail Station Surveillance

Critical Solutions International (CSI), Carrollton, Texas, announced today that the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) has selected its Intelligent Video Surveillance Solution to provide advanced video security at selected rail stations within the state’s rapid transit network. The Intelligent Video Surveillance Solution will provide enhanced security and safety for thousands of commuters, as well as first responders, while saving time and taxpayer money, the announcement says. The system notifies safety and security personnel of unusual events such as the intrusion of unauthorized areas, unattended luggage, or loitering. In addition the system stores digital video data that can be rapidly analyzed through customized searches.

Raytheon Awarded Multi-Spectral Targeting System Contract

Raytheon Co., McKinney, Texas, is being awarded a $10,072,556 firm-fixed-price contract for 10 Multi-Spectral Targeting Systems for Air Force HC/MC-130J aircraft. The system is an airborne, electro-optic, forward-looking infra-red, turreted sensor package that provides long-range surveillance, high-altitude target acquisition, tracking, range finding, and laser designation, and for the Hellfire missile, and for all tri-service and NATO laser guided munitions. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-12-G-JQ66-0045).

Raytheon to Provide Surveillance System Spare Parts

Raytheon Company, McKinney, Texas, has been awarded a maximum $98,189,220 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for surveillance system spare parts. This contract is a sole-source acquisition. This is a three-year base contract with no option periods. Using military services are Army and federal civilian agencies. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., (SPRBL1-14-D-0006).

Airtec to Provide ISR Services in Colombia

Airtec Inc., California, Md., is being awarded a $9,477,860 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N68335-13-D-0010) for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) services in support of the U.S. Southern Command. The contractor will provide ISR services utilizing two contractor-owned, contractor-operated aircraft, with government furnished property previously installed on the aircraft. Work will be performed in Bogota, Colombia, and is expected to be completed in September 2014. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity. 
 

EDO to Support B-1 Surveillance/Electronic Countermeasure Components

EDO Corp., Defense Systems Division, Amityville, N.Y., has been awarded an estimated $10,206,061 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity requirements contract for depot level repair efforts of ALQ-161 radio frequency surveillance/electronic countermeasure (RFS/ECM) system components. Contractor will acquire depot level repair on a combination of line replaceable and shop replaceable units consisting of 235 national stock numbers in support of ALQ-161A RFS/ECM used on the B-1 aircraft. Air Force Sustainment Center/PZABB, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity (FA8522-14-D-0002).  

Firm to Provide Surveillance System for U.S. and African Nations

Pacific Architects and Engineers Applied Technologies, Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $44,577,164 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the development, testing, and installation of the SureTrak Surveillance System for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and governments in Africa under the foreign military sales program. The SureTrak System is a state-of-the-art, fully integrated, multi-sensor, data acquisition and display system used for airspace surveillance, waterway clearance, shoreline surveillance, and environmental monitoring functions. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-14-D-0001).

L-3 Supports Surveillance Aircraft

L-3 Communications Integrated Systems, Waco, Texas, is being awarded a $96,370,902 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-11-D-0017) to exercise an option for services in support of the P-3, EP-3 and NP-3 Sustainment Modification and Installation program. This effort includes planned maintenance interval, structural replacement and fabrication efforts pertaining to special structural inspection kits, center wing assemblies, zone five kits, and outer wing installations and refurbishments. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Two Firms to Support Airborne Sensors in Afghanistan

Science Applications International Corporation, McLean, Va., was awarded a $179,585,058 firm-fixed-price, non-option-eligible, non-multi-year contract in support of the Saturn Arch program and provides continued operations, sustainment and integration of aircraft platforms configured to host a suite of sensors deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (W58RGZ-13-C-0134). SRI International, Menlo Park, Calif., was awarded a $62,337,287 firm-fixed-price, non-option-eligible, non-multi-year contract in support of the Desert Owl program and provides continued operations, sustainment and integration of aircraft platforms configured to host a suite of sensors deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (W58RGZ-13-C-0135). These are hybrid contracts containing both fixed-price and cost-reimbursement line items. The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal (Aviation), Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
