U.S. Navy Awards Anti-Submarine Surveillance Contract

The Applied Physical Sciences Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a potential $21,213,511 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development of configurable technology to provide anti-submarine warfare surveillance over large, operationally relevant, deep ocean areas. This effort will include system architecture and design, sensors and processing, communications mobility, and energy requirements. This contract was competitively procured via a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency broad agency announcement.The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.

Insitu Supports ScanEagle in Afghanistan

Insitu Inc., Bingen, Wash., is being awarded a $7,826,247 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract to exercise an option for operational and maintenance services in support of the ScanEagle Unmanned Aerial Systems. These services will provide electro-optical/infrared and mid-wave infrared imagery in support of land-based operations in Operation Enduring Freedom to provide real-time imagery and data. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity. 

Boeing Awarded P-8A Contract Modification

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $12,354,787 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract for services on three P-8A Training Systems to provide training for P-8A aircraft that operate with a Test Release 12 (TR-12) aircraft software version. In addition, this modification provides for analysis of Aircraft Program Revision Records that define changes to the aircraft between the previously delivered Block 9.2 configuration of training devices and the target TR-12 configuration shall be analyzed for applicability to the training system. The Naval Air System Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity. 

All Native Services to Develop Reconnaissance System

All Native Services, Winnebago, Neb., is being awarded a $15,009,514 modification to previously awarded cost-plus-fixed fee research and development contract to exercise option year two for the Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate. The Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate will promote research and development, which will result in a prototype of a Cerberus Lite system, which will be capable of becoming a four-person hand carried portable unit. Support areas include infrared, laser, thermal imaging and other related sensor technologies. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division, Indian Head, Md., is the contracting activity. 

DHS Awards Surveillance Contract

Integrated Microwave Technologies LLC (IMT), Mount Olive, N.J., has been awarded a Technical Investigative Surveillance (TechOps) contract by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. IMT’s contract is a competitive five-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity agreement, awarded in the video category, which includes covert video equipment such as transmitters and receivers offering mobile, fixed and multiple concealment technologies. IMT will deliver interoperable technical investigative surveillance solutions in support of federal agency requirements. 

Raytheon to Support Aerostat Surveillance System

Raytheon Co., Andover, Mass., was awarded a $30,293,284 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the Surveillance System Supply and Support for the Rapid Aerostat Deployment Configurations. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity. 

Raytheon Receives Multi-spectral Targeting Contracts

Raytheon Co., McKinney, Texas, is being awarded an $18,356,242 firm-fixed-price order #0026 against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for 19 multi-spectral targeting systems for the MH-60R/S helicopter. The system is an airborne, electro-optic, forward-looking infra-red, turreted sensor package that provides long-range surveillance, high-altitude target acquisition, tracking, range-finding, and laser designation, and for all tri-service and NATO laser guided munitions. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity. The company also received a $14,011,652 contract modification for four multi-spectral targeting system, target location accuracy, high-definition video and targeting systems for the Reaper/Predator program. The contracting activity is the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.  

Raytheon Continues Supporting Taiwan Surveillance Radar

Raytheon Co., Sudbury, Mass., is being awarded a $289,458,942 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price, cost reimbursement contract for follow-on sustainment support of the Taiwan Surveillance Radar Program. The contracting activity is the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass.              

Boeing to Update P-8A Electronic Support Measures

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded an $8,512,436 cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order issued under basic ordering agreement to procure the update to the electronic support measures sensor digital measurement unit to overcome obsolescence issues in support of the P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River Md., is the contracting activity.

Exelis Counterdrug Surveillance Contract Modified

Exelis Systems Corp., Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $35,794,575 contract modification to provide air and surface surveillance capability in support of Department of Defense’s (DoD) Counterdrug Program and North American Aerospace Defense Command’s (NORAD) air sovereignty mission. The location of the performance is Yuma, Ariz.; Fort Huachuca, Ariz.; Deming, N.M.; Marfa, Texas; Eagle Pass, Texas; Rio Grande City, Texas; Cudjoe Key, Fla.; Lajas, Puerto Rico and Newport News, Va. The contracting activity is Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va.
