BAE to Support Phased Array Radar Systems

BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Service, Rockville Maryland, has been awarded a $44,283,973 fixed-price-incentive modification (P00428) on FA2517-06-C-8001 to exercise option year eight to manage, operate, maintain and logistically support solid state phased array radar systems. Work will be performed at Beale Air Force Base, California; Cape Cod Air Force Station, Massachusetts; Clear Air Force Station, Alaska; Thule Air Base, Greenland, and Royal Air Force Fylingdales, United Kingdom, and is expected to be completed Aug. 31, 2015. The 21st Contracting Squadron, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin to Support Ship Radar System

Lockheed Martin, Moorestown, New Jersey, is being awarded a $12,171,921 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-11-C-2300 CLIN 0012) to provide procurement and engineering efforts in support of the TRS-3D Radar installation for the Port Hueneme Test Ship. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion, and Repair, Bath, Maine, is the contracting activity.

Exelis to Provide Ground Control Approach System to Saudi Arabia

Exelis Incorporated Radar, Reconnaissance and Acoustic Systems, Van Nuys, California, has been awarded a $9,647,241 firm-fixed- price contract for a Ground Control Approach System (GCA). This effort is a new program in support of a foreign military sales case for the Saudi Arabian National Guard. This action will provide a GCA for installation at a Khasham Al An Airbase. The GCA system will be utilized for aircraft approach and landing guidance, including airspace control services in support of air traffic control operations and Saudi Arabian National Guard aviation mission requirements. Work will be performed in Saudi Arabia, and is expected to be completed by June 10, 2024. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity (FA8730-14-C-0008).

ThalesRaytheon to Provide Air Defense Radar to Kazakhstan

ThalesRaytheonSystems has signed a memorandum of understanding to supply 20 Ground Master 400 (GM400) long-range air defense radars to the Kazakh air force. The agreement provides for the development of GM400 radars for the Kazakh air force by Granit Thales Electronics, a joint venture formed by Thales and SKTB Granit in 2012 under a defense-industry partnership. This radar is designed for both fixed-site operation under a radome and for operations in the field, where it can be deployed in under two hours. The GM400s will boost Kazakhstan’s air defense capabilities, giving the Kazakh Air Force the ability to detect a broad array of threats from low to high altitude, assuring extended air surveillance over its territory.

Raytheon Awarded Dual Band Radar Modification

Raytheon Company, Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), Tewksbury, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $10,271,042 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-05-C-5346) for the execution of Phase II CVN 78 Dual Band Radar, test and evaluation engineering support at the Raytheon IDS Software Development Laboratory and Wallops Island Engineering Test Center Land Based Test Site. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed to Fix F-16 Radar Interoperability Issue for Pakistan and Thailand

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, has been awarded a $7,253,896 modification (P00068) to FA8615-07-C-6032 for F-16 production contracts. The total cumulative face value of the contract is $430,377,045. This modification incorporates a solution to solve a radar interoperability issue affecting F-16 aircraft produced for Pakistan and Thailand under the basic contract. Work will be performed at Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2016. The contract supports 100 percent foreign military sales for Thailand and Pakistan. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

Longbow to Provide Tactical Data Link Technology

Longbow LLC, Orlando, Florida, was awarded a $25,197,219 modification (P00006) to contract W58RGZ-12-C-0049 for the production of 17 radar electronics units and unmanned aerial system tactical common data link assemblies, a P4.00 software upgrade, and associated gold standard hardware for production testing. Army Contracting Command, Redstone, Alabama, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin to Provide Airborne Radar
