DRS to Provide Below-Deck Radar Sets

DRS C3 and Aviation, Gaithersburg, Md., is being awarded a $8,222,300 firm-fixed-price contract for AN/SPS-67 (V)5 below-deck radar sets and an installation check-out kit for DDG 114, DDG 115 and DDG 116 . The radar set is a short range two dimensional, surface search/navigation radar system that provides highly accurate surface and limited low-flyer detection and tracking capabilities. The AN/SPS-67(V) provides C-Band radar navigation, station keeping/surface search functions, and a digital moving-target indicator.

Egypt Procures Radio Repeater Systems

Exelis Incorporated, Van Nuys, Calif., is being awarded a potential $25 million firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the procurement of six radio frequency repeater systems for the government of Egypt’s SPS-48E land-based radar program and associated support for Egypt under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The requirement includes all associated support. Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon to Provide Radar for Drug Trafficking Detection

Raytheon Company, Integrated Defense Systems, Sudbury, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $15,783,949 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for engineering and technical services in support of the Relocatable Over the Horizon Radar (ROTHR) system for the Forces Surveillance Support Center, Chesapeake, Virginia. The ROTHR system is a unique legacy radar system that uses high frequency over-the-horizon radar to provide tactically significant wide-area air and sea surveillance tracking information. The ROTHR System supports the tracking and detection of drug trafficking activities in Northern South American and Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico basins. This contract contains two, one-year option provisions, which if exercised, will bring the contract value to $48,472,799. The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Support Center Norfolk Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed to Provide Radar Equipment to U.S. and Australian Navies

Lockheed Martin MS2, Owego, New York, was awarded a firm-fixed-price, sole-source contract with a maximum $23,226,087 for radar equipment. Using military service is Navy. The company also was awarded a maximum $14,210,262 for radar equipment to be provided to the Royal Australian Navy. The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity for both awards.

DRS to Repair Combat Talon II Radar

TASC to Provide Naval Surveillance Radar in U.S. and Japan

TASC Incorporated, Andover, Massachusetts, is being awarded a potential $18,641,820 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for naval surveillance radar acquisition, engineering and logistics support services for the Ship Defense Expeditionary Warfare Department, Naval Surveillance Radar Division. The objective is to provide high quality engineering and technical services in a timely manner that maximizes innovation and cost reduction initiatives while not sacrificing quality. Work will be performed in Virginia Beach, Virginia; Wallops Island, Virginia; Washington, DC; San Diego, California; Yokosuka, Japan; and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, California, is the contracting activity.
