Raytheon to Replace F/A-18E/F Radar System

Raytheon Company, Space and Airborne Systems, El Segundo, California, is being awarded a $45,252,160 contract modification for the procurement of 16 AN/APG-79 Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars to be retrofitted into F/A-18E/F aircraft, lots 26-29. The AN/APG-79 AESA radar, which will replace the APG-73 radar, will provide increased air-to-air detection and track range, increased air-to-ground targeting capabilities, longer launch range for standoff weapons, enhanced capability against advanced threats, and optimized utilization of the aircraft's weapon systems contributing to the F/A-18E/F's survivability. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Receives F-18 Electronic Warfare Contract

Raytheon Company, Space and Airborne Systems, Goleta, California, is being awarded a $77,267,880 contract modification to exercise an option for 89 full rate production Lot 14 AN/ALR-67(V)3 radar warning receivers, and nine countermeasure signal processor weapons replacement assemblies. The AN/ALR-67(V)3 enhances pilot situational awareness by providing accurate identification, lethality, and azimuth displays of hostile and friendly emitters. It also controls the electronic warfare data bus and interfaces with electronic warfare systems, the onboard radar, airborne mission computer, and the F/A-18 weapon systems. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Receives Cobra Dane Funding

Raytheon Technical Services Company, Dulles, Virginia, is being awarded a $14,046,412 firm-fixed-price contract for radar operations and maintenance services to ensure the availability of the Cobra Dane's radar facility to collect on 100 percent of the tasked data collection opportunities that pass through its field of view. AFRISA/A7KRB, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Receives Global Hawk Radar Funding

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Integrated Systems Western Region, El Segundo, California, is being awarded a $12, 271,991 cost-plus-award-fee contract modification for the Multi Platform Radar Technology Insertion Program radar system development and demonstration for integration with the Global Hawk Block 40 Program. The Electronic Systems Center, Aerial Ground Surveillance Systems Division, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.

General Atomics to Develop Pulsed Power Technology

General Atomics, San Diego, California, is being awarded a $12,288,073 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development activities associated with integrated power systems power load modules design and pulsed power loads for future surface combatants. General Atomics will provide the research and development of an advanced integrated power systems power load module that may be used for pulse forming networks that could power future lasers, railguns or radars. The initial effort will include further refinement of their unique approach to the concept, documenting how the approach could be eventually implemented in a shipboard configuration to meet projected pulsed loads powering needs. The concept will also be used to implement energy storage on the future design that may be used in a multi-purpose manner, allowing the energy to be used for the weapon system and for shipboard powering. General Atomics will apply their unique concept approach to a set of notional performance expectations developed by General Atomics in conjunction with the Navy.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin to Provide Radar Equipment

Lockheed Martin MS2, Owego, New York, was awarded a firm-fixed-price, basic ordering agreement contract for a maximum $46,503,900 for radar equipment. There are no other locations of performance. Using service is U.S. Navy. The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity.

U.S. Army Provides Final Funds for Combat System Radar

Lockheed Martin MS2, Liverpool, New York, was awarded a more than $91 million firm-fixed-price cost-plus-fixed-fee contract modification for four enhanced EQ-36 radar systems with armored Sustained Operation Group (SOG) and Mission Essential Group (MEG) equipped and 16 radar systems with SOG and MEGs. Beginning with an undefinitized April 2010 contract, Lockheed Martin has now received a total of $252 million for a total of 20 EQ-36 radar systems and an upgrade to armored five-ton trucks for the systems' SOG and MEG. The modification completes the funding, on this contract. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

EDO to Supply Radar Signal Simulators

SRC to Provide Prototypical Weapon Location Radar
