Saudi Arabia Procures Airborne ISR Capabilities

L-3 Communications Corp., Integrated Systems Group, Greenville, Texas, has been awarded a $61,000,243 firm-fixed-price, undefinitized contract action for the modification and integration of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities onto two King Air 350 aircraft. This is 100 percent foreign military sales for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. FMS funds in the amount of $30,000,000 are being obligated at the time of award. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8620-14-C-4023).

L-3 to Provide Satellite Communications Security

L-3 Communications Corp. - Communication Systems, Camden, New Jersey, has been awarded a $29,146,854 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) Communication Security/Transition Security (COMSEC/TRANSEC) Systems II (ACTS II). Contactor will provide interim contractor support in support of transition capability on the AEHF COMSEC/TRANSEC ACTS II from electronic key management system to key management infrastructure. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, Joint-Base San Antonio, Texas, is the contracting activity (FA8307-14-C-0006).

L-3 Supports Flight Trainer Suites

L-3 Communications Corp., Link Simulation & Training Division, Arlington, Texas, is being awarded $15,548,954 for cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price delivery order 0005 against a previously issued Basic Ordering Agreement (N61340-12-G-0001) for the procurement of 25 system configuration sets, Navy Aviation Simulation Master Plans, Next Generation Threat System upgrades and 25 liquid crystal display spare kits in support of the F/A-18 Tactical Operational Flight Trainer Suites. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Florida, is the contracting activity.

L-3 to Remanufacture F-16 Traveling Wave Tubes

L-3 Communications, San Carlos, California, has been awarded a $6,816,326 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery contract for the remanufacture of F-16 Traveling Wave Tubes. Work will be performed at San Carlos, California, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 29, 2016. The Air Force Sustainment Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (FA8251-14-D-0007).

L-3 Awarded GPS Software Contract

L-3 Communications, IEC, Anaheim, California, has been awarded an $8,281,679 cost-plus-incentive-fee modification (P00017) on FA8807-12-C-0011 for software coding and security certification on the military global positioning system user equipment contract. The contract modification is to mature the software coding of the GPS receiver cards being developed and perform security certification to enable faster fielding of military-code capable GPS receivers to the warfighter. The Space and Missile Systems Center Contracting Directorate, El Segundo, California, is the contracting activity.

L-3 to Support Counterterrorism ISR in Yemen

L-3 Communications, Platform Integration Division, Waco, Texas, has been awarded a not-to-exceed $41,500,000 undefinitized contract action for the procurement and modification of four intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft, training and spares in support of the counterterrorism efforts in Yemen. Work will be performed at Waco, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2015. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition, and is 100 percent foreign military sales for Yemen. The 645 AESG, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8620-14-C-3020).

L-3 to Provide Flight Trainers to Saudi Arabia

L-3 Communications Corp., Arlington, Texas, was awarded a $48,978,323 firm-fixed-price, foreign military sales (Saudi Arabia) contract for the acquisition of three UH-60L operational flight trainers for the Royal Saudi Land Forces. L-3 to Upgrade Canadian Combat Training Systems

L-3 Communications Corp., Arlington, Texas, is being awarded a $19,018,574 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N61340-11-C-0017) for the upgrade of six CF-18C/D Advanced Distributed Combat Training Systems for the government of Canada under the Foreign Military Sales program. DARPA Awards Shadow UAV Mobile Hotspots Contract

March 14, 2014

L-3 Communications Corp., Salt Lake City, Utah, has been awarded a $16,458,470 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The work will support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Mobile Hotspots program for phases 2 and 3 (if option is exercised). If successful, the phase 2 effort is expected to deliver a solution consisting of radio and router pods for mounting on Shadow unmanned aerial vehicles, with all mobile hotspots subsystems wholly contained within the pods. The contracting activity is DARPA, Arlington, Va., (HR0011-14-C-0047).
