L-3 to Support Fire Scout UAV

L-3 Corp. Systems West, Salt Lake City, Utah, is being awarded a $17, 611,443 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-13-D-0001) for supplies and services associated with Surface Terminal Equipment for Hawklink Tactical Common Data Link (TCDL) and the Littoral Combat Ship configurations, and the Vortex Mini-TCDL Shipset components. These supplies and services are in support of the Vertical Take-off and Landing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Fire Scout MQ-8B/8C. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

L-3 to Provide Satellite Parts

L-3 Communications Systems West, Salt Lake City, Utah, has been awarded a maximum $85,485,879 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for procurement of spare and component satellite terminal parts. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., (SPRBL1-14-D-0001). 
 

L-3 Supports Surveillance Aircraft

L-3 Communications Integrated Systems, Waco, Texas, is being awarded a $96,370,902 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-11-D-0017) to exercise an option for services in support of the P-3, EP-3 and NP-3 Sustainment Modification and Installation program. This effort includes planned maintenance interval, structural replacement and fabrication efforts pertaining to special structural inspection kits, center wing assemblies, zone five kits, and outer wing installations and refurbishments. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

L-3 to Provide Imaging Turrets to Danish Air Force

L-3 WESCAM recently announced that it has received an acquisition and sustainment contract from the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization to provide a minimum of eight MX-15 electro-optical and infrared imaging systems to the Royal Danish Air Force’s EH101 aircraft. System deliveries are expected to be complete by 2014.

The U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command – Fort Belvoir, Va. is the contracting activity (W911W4-13-C-0008).

U.S. Navy Purchases Hawkeye III Equipment

L-3 Global Communications Solutions, Victor, N.Y., is being awarded an $8,093,065 firm-fixed-price General Services Administration delivery order to acquire Hawkeye III Lite tri-band antennas and Hawkeye diplexer kits for the Deployable Joint Command and Control Rapid Response kits and Sensitive Compartmented Information kits for the expeditionary command and control suite. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $10,530,855. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, Panama City, Fla., is the contracting activity.
