L-3 to Provide Common Data Link

L-3 Communications Communication Systems, West, Salt Lake City, Utah, is being awarded a $16,920,823 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract for the manufacture, test, delivery and support of the Common Data Link Hawklink system, including 31 AN/ARQ-59 radio terminal sets for the MH-60R aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity. 

U.S. Navy Awards More Than $899 Million in C5ISR Funds

AMSEC LLC, Virginia Beach, Va.; BAE Systems Technology Solutions and Services Inc., Rockville, Md.; Computer Sciences Corp., Falls Church, Va.; L-3 Services Inc. (Engility), Mount Laurel, N.J.; Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Va.; Serco, Reston, Va.; and Scientific Research Corp., Atlanta, Ga., are each being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, with fixed-price incentive (firm target) and firm-fixed-price provisions, multiple-award contract for the procurement of production, installation and in-service support services. The services required include support of design, acquisition, production, integration, testing, installation, and configuration management of certified C5ISR capabilities, with a specific focus on submarine and surface new construction, modernization, systems production/integration, installation and life cycle support of systems and subsystems integrated within or in support of the subsurface and surface platforms, both afloat and shore based. The cumulative estimated value of the base year is $179,908,687. These contracts include options, which if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of these contracts to a combined estimated $899,543,000. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.

L-3 to Support Nuclear Weapons Effects Simulator Program

L-3 Services Inc., of San Leandro, Calif., is being awarded an indefinite-delivery /indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract for research and development, engineering and test support services for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, (DTRA) in support of the Nuclear Weapons Effects Simulator Program. The maximum value of the ID/IQ contract is $48,965,000. The contracting activity is the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va.

IS&GS, Herndon, Va.; SAIC Inc., McLean, Va.; and Scientific Research Corp., Atlanta, Ga., are each being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, with provisions for fixed-price-incentive (firm target) and firm-fixed-price task orders, performance based contract for the procurement of battle-space awareness support services including the development, integration, and test of intelligence, battlespace awareness, and information operations applications and dedicated hardware. The cumulative, estimated value of the base year is $179,912,000. These contracts include options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of these contracts to an estimated $899,560,000. Two Firms Awarded Aviator $200 Million Night Vision Contract

L-3 Communications Corporation, Tempe, Ariz., and Exelis Incorporated, Roanoke, Virginia, were awarded a $200 million firm-fixed-price contract between two contractors. The award will provide for the procurement of Enhanced 3rd Generation Aviator’s Night Vision Imaging Systems. Work location will be determined with each task order, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 3, 2017. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity.

L-3 Awarded Integrated Broadcast Services Contract

L-3 Services Incorporated, STRATIS, Reston, Virginia, is being awarded a $15,491,733 cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and cost-reimbursable contract for the integrated broadcast services, network systems additional capabilities and message throughput. In addition, hardware and software will be upgraded. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.

Multiple Firms to Support Anti-Terrorism Efforts in National Capitol Region

Dean Incorporated, Dulles, Virginia; ManTech International Corporation, Lexington Park, Maryland; Science Applications International dba SAIC, McLean, Virginia; and VT Milcom Incorporated, Virginia Beach, Virginia are each being awarded a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, performance-based contract that utilizes fixed-price task orders for the procurement of security engineering support services, which support the operational requirements of high-value Navy and other government activities where security is of high or vital interest located in the National Capitol Region. The services required will include systems engineering, analysis, development, acquisition, integration, installation, testing, software development and maintenance, and integrated logistical support for Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Systems. Each contractor will be awarded $3,571 at the time of award. These contracts include options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of these contracts to an estimated $224.9 million. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting activity.
