U.S. Navy Awards Potential $899 Million for Battlespace Awareness

Booz Allen Hamilton, McLean, Va.; CACI Technologies Inc., Chantilly, Va.; Centurum Inc., Marlton, N.J.; L-3 Services Inc., Mount Laurel, N.J.; Lockheed Martin Corp. IS&GS, Herndon, Va.; SAIC Inc., McLean, Va.; and Scientific Research Corp., Atlanta, Ga., are each being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, with provisions for fixed-price-incentive (firm target) and firm-fixed-price task orders, performance based contract for the procurement of battle-space awareness support services including the development, integration, and test of intelligence, battlespace awareness, and information operations applications and dedicated hardware. The cumulative, estimated value of the base year is $179,912,000. These contracts include options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of these contracts to an estimated $899,560,000. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.

L-3 to Provide Full-Motion Video Receivers

The contracting activity is the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle  Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass.

L-3 to Support Phoenix Satellite Terminal

Two Firms Awarded Aviator $200 Million Night Vision Contract

L-3 Communications Corporation, Tempe, Ariz., and Exelis Incorporated, Roanoke, Virginia, were awarded a $200 million firm-fixed-price contract between two contractors. The award will provide for the procurement of Enhanced 3rd Generation Aviator’s Night Vision Imaging Systems. Work location will be determined with each task order, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 3, 2017. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity.

L-3 Awarded Integrated Broadcast Services Contract

L-3 Services Incorporated, STRATIS, Reston, Virginia, is being awarded a $15,491,733 cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and cost-reimbursable contract for the integrated broadcast services, network systems additional capabilities and message throughput. In addition, hardware and software will be upgraded. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.

Multiple Firms to Support Anti-Terrorism Efforts in National Capitol Region

BAE Systems Technology Solutions and Services Incorporated, Rockville, Maryland; Honeywell Technology Solutions Incorporated, Columbia, Maryland; L-3 Services Incorporated, dba C2S2, Mount Laurel, New Jersey; M.C. Dean Incorporated, Dulles, Virginia; ManTech International Corporation, Lexington Park, Maryland; Science Applications International dba SAIC, McLean, Virginia; and VT Milcom Incorporated, Virginia Beach, Virginia are each being awarded a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, performance-based contract that utilizes fixed-price task orders for the procurement of security engineering support services, which support the operational requirements of high-value Navy and other government activities where security is of high or vital interest located in the National Capitol Region. The services required will include systems engineering, analysis, development, acquisition, integration, installation, testing, software development and maintenance, and integrated logistical support for Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Systems. Each contractor will be awarded $3,571 at the time of award. These contracts include options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of these contracts to an estimated $224.9 million. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting activity.

Multiple Firms Awarded $300 Million for Cyber Research

Assured Information Security Incorporated, Rome, New York; Global InfoTek Incorporated, Reston, Virginia; Radiance Technologies Incorporated, Huntsville, Alabama; CACI Incorporated, Chantilly, Virginia; Exelis Incorporated, Herndon, Virginia; and L-3 Services, Incorporated, Reston, Virginia, are being awarded a $300 million multiple award indefinite- delivery/indefinite-quantity with cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price, fixed-price incentive or cost-plus-incentive contract to provide cyber research and solutions in support to the Agile Cyber Technology effort. Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome New York, is the contracting activity.

Three Firms Compete for SatCom Task Orders

Globecomm Systems Incorporated, Hauppauge, New York; DRS Technical Services Incorporated, Herndon, Virginia; and L- 3/3Di Technologies Limited Liability Corporation, Hanover, Maryland, are each being awarded an indefinite- delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price, multiple award contract, with a cumulative value of $17,001,463 to provide commercial-off-the-shelf satellite network and communications equipment and other services. Each contractor will be awarded $8,333 at the time of award. These contracts include options, which, if exercised, could bring the combined cumulative value of these multiple award contracts to an estimated $85,007,313. These three contractors may compete for the delivery orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contracts. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting activity.

L-3 Awarded Potential $500 Million Special Forces Contract

L-3 Communications, New York, New York, recently announced that its L-3 GCS subsidiary has been awarded a contract by US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) to develop and manufacture Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) satellite systems. The program, "Special Operations Forces Deployable Node-Family of Terminals" (SDN-Lite FoT) will provide tactically deployed Special Operations Forces users with worldwide communications connectivity. Total contract value is up to $500 million, over the next five years.
