L-3 Communications Geneva Aerospace is being awarded a not-to-exceed $250 million contract for the expeditionary unmanned aircraft system (UAS) in support of U.S. Special Operations Command Program Executive Office-Fixed Wing.

NASA Awards SOFIA Engineering Contract Option to L-3 Communications

NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center has awarded a contract modification to L-3 Communications Integrated Systems for further developmental engineering on the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA). The option is valued at approximately $8.7 million, bringing the total value of the contract to approximately $37.7 million.

L-3 Receives Prime Contract In Support of Army PEO Program

L-3 Communications' Systems Field Support division was awarded a 60-day base contract with eight option years from the U.S. Air Force to serve as prime contractor on the T-1A Contractor Logistics Support program. The total value of the contract with all options is $680 million.

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), L-3 Services Incorporated and Northrop Grumman have been awarded a combined $495 million force protection security system contract to support any or all of 10 essential elements of integrated base defense that include deceive, deter, anticipate, deny, detect, delay assess, deploy, neutralize and mitigate at U.S. Air Force and other Defense Department sites throughout the world.

The U.S. Air Force is awarding a cost-plus-incentive-fee contract to L-3 Communications Link Simulation and Training for an estimated $23 million. This action will provide B-2 training system follow-on concurrency with the B-2 weapon system and contractor logistics support of existing B-2 training devices.

L-3 Receives Modification for Military Operations Support

L-3 Communications Flight International is being awarded a $22 million modification to a previously awarded contract for commercial air services and military operations support. This modification provides airborne threat simulation training for shipboard and aircraft squadron weapon systems operators and aircrew in order to enhance abilities to counter potential enemy electronic warfare and electronic attack operations in an electronic combat environment.
