L-3 Receives Contract for Small Unmanned Aerial Systems Research and Evaluation

The U.S. Air Force is awarding an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to L-3 Communications Corporation for a maximum of $49,750,000. This action will provide for small unmanned aerial systems research and evaluation program to provide maximum flexibility for research and evaluation for the small unmanned serial system.

L-3 Selected for U.S. Army STOC II Program

L-3 Communications has been selected as one of the multiple awardees for the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Omnibus Contract (STOC II). The STOC II program is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantityvehicle with a contract ceiling of $17.5 billion.

L-3 Wins Coast Guard Fast Response Cutter Contract

L-3 Communications' Communications Systems-East division has been awarded a contract by Bollinger Shipyards to provide the C4ISR system for the U.S. Coast Guard's Fast Response Cutter program. Under an initial two-year contract, the company will design and deliver the first production shipset and related training systems. This contract also includes options for an additional 33 shipsets that if exercised would result in an overall contract value in excess of $100 million.

L-3 Awarded $61 Million Contract for Canadian Halifax Class Frigate Upgrade

L-3 Communications' Montreal-based MAPPS division has been awarded a $61 million contract to supply its Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) upgrade for the Canadian Navy's 12 Halifax Class frigates. The IPMS will modernize the frigate's ship control system and improve the operational effectiveness of the vessels.

L-3 Services Incorporated is being awarded a $46.7 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for engineering services to operate and maintain the Technology Center for Cables and Connectors facility located at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, Virginia.

L-3 Awarded $92 Million Task Order by Army

L-3 Communications' global security and engineering solutions (GS&ES) unit has been awarded a five-year, $92.2 million task order by the General Services Administration's Federal Acquisition Service for the U.S. Army's Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). Under the task order, GS&ES will support the Army Architecture Integration and Management Directorate and the Army Capabilities Integration Center as well as other TRADOC centers of excellence throughout the continental U.S.

L-3 Awarded Navy T-45 Logistics and Maintenance Support Contract

L-3 Communications' Vertex subsidiary has been awarded an indefinite delivery contract valued at $569 million by the U.S. Navy. Vertex, which has teamed with the Boeing Company for this project, will provide logistics services and maintenance materials in support of T-45A and T-45C trainer aircraft.

L-3 Receives $23 Million Order from Marine Corps

L-3 Communications' advanced products and design unit has been awarded a $23.2 million delivery order to provide 600 VideoScout-MC mobile video exploitation and management systems to the U.S. Marine Corps. These systems enhance portable equipment currently in use by adding video imagery in real-time, which improves situational awareness. The Marine Corps will receive the mobile VideoScout-MC laptop computer with integrated multi-band receivers. VideoScout-MC captures video and metadata directly from unmanned aerial systems, targeting pods, intelligence feeds and other common sensors and allows users to view, archive, annotate, search, geo-reference and disseminate relevant, actionable video intelligence to others.
