Elbit Awarded Israeli Simulation Contract

Elbit Systems Ltd., Haifa, Israel, announced today that it was awarded an Israeli Ministry of Defense contract, in the amount of approximately $23 million, for the operation and maintenance of its ground simulators in use by the Israeli ground forces. The 5-year contract includes a variety of simulators, both fixed and mobile, dedicated to training for tanks, armored combat vehicles, driving simulators, intelligence training and other applications.
 

PLEXSYS Supports AWACS Simulation

PLEXSYS Interface Products Inc., Camas, Wash., has been awarded an $8,254,297 sole-source, firm-fixed-price, follow-on contract for commercial training simulation services (CTSS) on contractor-owned equipment for the Airborne Warning and Control (AWACS) Mission Training Center (MTC) follow-on program. The purpose of this acquisition is to deliver continued AWACS MTC Block 30/35 CTSS on contractor-owned equipment until the trainers are replaced by Block 40/45 Mission Crew Training Systems. Block 30/35 simulation training services consist of: availability of effective high-fidelity AWACS E-3 Block 30/35 training capability; concurrency with ramp aircraft; and compliance with distributed mission operations standards. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Agile Combat Support, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity (FA8621-14-C-6310).

Cubic to Provide Combat Trainer to Four Countries

Cubic Defense Applications Inc., San Diego, Calif., has been awarded a $24,999,949 firm-fixed-price contract for foreign military sales P5Combat Training System (P5CTS), combined hardware buy. Contractor will provide P5CTS hardware to provide an instrumented training capability that increases, maintains, and assesses combat proficiency in the following mission areas: counter air, close air support, strategic attack, air interdiction, and electronic combat. This award is for the governments of Singapore, Morocco, Oman and Saudi Arabia under the Foreign Military Sales program. DynCorp to Support Joint Primary Aircraft Training System

The DynCorp International LLC, Fort Worth, Texas, has been awarded a $76,577,468 modification (P00016) on an existing firm-fixed-price contract (FA8617-12-C-6208) for contractor operated and maintained base supply (COMBS) non-personnel services for the Joint Primary Aircraft Training System T-6A/B Texan II aircraft. The contract modification exercises an option for fiscal 2014 COMBS services being procured under the basic contract. The Joint Primary Aircraft Training System, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Training Aircraft Division, Mobility Directorate, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

Boeing Awarded P-8A Trainer Funds

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $99,606,355 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-09-C-0022) to incorporate a Maintenance Training Device Suite (MTDS) and Ordnance Load Trainer into the P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime aircraft Low Rate Initial Production II. The MTDS Suite will include six Virtual Maintenance Trainer Devices and 14 Hardware Type II devices. The Naval Air System Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Boeing to Upgrade P-8A Trainers

The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $26,650,000 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-09-C-0022) to incorporate the Test Release 21.1 block software upgrade on eight operational flight trainers, six weapons tactics trainers, three part task trainers, and 44 mission system desktop trainers in support of the P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime aircraft low rate initial production II. The Naval Air System Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity. 

Cubic to Provide Urban Warfare Trainer

Cubic Defense Applications Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $12,575,953 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of weapon instrumentation that will integrate into the Instrumented - Tactical Engagement Simulation System, Increment II (I-TESS II) baseline capabilities. The I-TESS II system is used in military operations in urban terrain facilities and non-live fire maneuver ranges located at various Marine Corps bases and installations. This effort will support the design, development, integration, ruggedized prototype, testing and effectiveness evaluation of squad immersive training environment specific capability enhancements to the I-TESS II training system. These enhancements address current training proficiency and readiness gaps at the squad-level and will be used to support both direct force-on-force and force-on-target tactical engagement training. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity (M67854-13-C-7802).

L3 Receives Trainer Maintenance Modification

Lockheed to Provide New F-22 Trainer Operating System

Effort includes technology refresh for F-22 training systems at Sheppard, Tyndall, Langley, Nellis, Hickam, and Elmendorf Air Force Bases.
