L-3 Services Incorporated, Mount Laurel, New Jersey, is being awarded a $9,633,769 firm-fixed-price contract to provide software analysis, design, development, testing, integration, verification, documentation, and support for the Marine Air Ground Task Force Tactical Warfare Simulation (MTWS) system. Post Deployment Software Support  (PDSS) shall include the software analysis, design, development, testing, integration, verification, documentation, and support for the yearly maintenance and release of the MTWS system, to include the Model Application Network (MAN), Model System Control (MSC), Model Display Station (MDS), Combat Analysis and Review Toolkit (CART), CART client, Apex, Model High-Level Architecture Bridge (MHB), and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I)components. The yearly maintenance will also include the configuration management, system administration, information assurance, system architecture, and program management to support any releases of an MTWS system. The Marine Corps System Command, Quantico, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

L-3 Communications Corporation, Arlington, Texas, is being awarded a $19,534,384 firm-fixed-price contract for one each tactical operational flight trainer, a brief/debrief station including logistical support for the Royal Malaysian Air Force under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Gallium Visual Systems, Damascus, Maryland, has announced that it was recently awarded a a $3 million contract for the delivery and integration of an embedded trainer for the U.S. Navy AN/TPX-42(V) identification friend or foe systems. The AN/TPX-42(V) provides the primary air traffic control capability in the carrier air traffic control centers and amphibious air traffic control centers aboard aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships. The firm fixed price contract, competitively awarded by the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, provides options for up to 50 production systems.

Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, Virginia, is being awarded a $13,536,712 task order under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to utilize the Comprehensive National Incident Management System. The objective of this research and development effort is to provide high-performance computing methods for modeling very large socio-technical, biological, and information systems. These will be in the areas of surveillance and sensing integration; simulation-based course-of-action analysis and decision support; "simfrastructure" specialization and enhancement; infectious disease assessment capability enhancement; and large-scale network efforts.
