Two Firms to Support Emerging Navigation Technologies

Booz Allen Hamilton Engineering Services LLC, Annapolis, Md., is being awarded a $30,864,036 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, multiple-award contract for support of emerging navigation technologies for air and shipboard command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance system applications. Coherent Technical Services Inc., Lexington Park, Md., is being awarded a $29,057,148 contract. These contracts include project management, systems engineering, integration, requirements analysis, basic research, development, testing, and life-cycle sustainment of both software and hardware related to emerging and existing technologies. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.

U.S. Navy Awards Potential $899 Million for Battlespace Awareness

Booz Allen Hamilton, McLean, Va.; CACI Technologies Inc., Chantilly, Va.; Centurum Inc., Marlton, N.J.; L-3 Services Inc., Mount Laurel, N.J.; Lockheed Martin Corp. IS&GS, Herndon, Va.; SAIC Inc., McLean, Va.; and Scientific Research Corp., Atlanta, Ga., are each being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, with provisions for fixed-price-incentive (firm target) and firm-fixed-price task orders, performance based contract for the procurement of battle-space awareness support services including the development, integration, and test of intelligence, battlespace awareness, and information operations applications and dedicated hardware. The cumulative, estimated value of the base year is $179,912,000. These contracts include options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of these contracts to an estimated $899,560,000. Booz Allen Hamilton Incorporated, Herndon, Virginia, is being awarded a $9,450,189 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery, requirements contract for research and development in order to complete/deliver the assessment of Army warfighting challenges and integrated learning plans, the experiment final reports, and experiment-to-action plans. The U.S. Army will use these reports to develop and revise Army concepts and contribute to other services and joint concepts; make recommendations for the development of Army and joint capabilities development scenarios; research current and future warfare through experimentation; and build models and simulations to test new warfighting ideas. BAH Wins Three Contracts

Booz Allen Hamilton Incorporated, Herndon, Virginia, is being awarded three  contracts. The first is a $24,966,507 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery requirements contract to perform research and development in order to complete and deliver the "Emerging Leading-Edge Technological Advancement of Intelligence Surveillance Recon Capabilities Report", "Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures Report" and wargame/exercise lessons learned reports. These deliverables will be used to ultimately increase the situational awareness and survivability of the warfighter by helping them to better identify battlefield threats. The second is a $24,116,927 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery requirements contract to perform research and development in order to complete and deliver the capability evolution description document; the system prototype report; and the test and evaluation master plan. The Navy will use these reports for investment decisions regarding potential technologies that can best protect warfighters from threats posed by technological warfare, natural disaster, biochemical warfare, and terrorism/insurgency. And the third is a $20,768,477 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery requirements contract to perform research and development in order to complete/deliver critical infrastructure facilities assessments; strategic planning technical reports; and experimentation, war gaming and exercise technical reports. The III Marine Expeditionary Force will use these deliverables to analyze and recommend methods to limit terrorist and enemy threats in a permanently deployed, overseas environment consisting of III Marine Expeditionary Force and Marine Corps personnel, equipment, facilities and staff.
