General Atomics Awarded Gray Eagle Funds

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., Poway, Calif., was awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee, option-eligible, non-multi-year, contract modification (P00094) of $11,423,474.37 with a cumulative maximum value of $156,370,264 in exercise of its option for additional engineering services for the MQ-1C Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft systems program. The US Army Contracting Command—Redstone Arsenal (Aviation), Redstone, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-09-C-0136).

Four Firms Awarded UCLASS Contracts

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., El Segundo, Calif., (N00019-13-C-0140), Lockheed Martin Corp., Palmdale, Calif., (N00019-13-C-0141), The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., (N00019-13-C-0142), and General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., Poway, Calif., (N00019-13-C-0143) are each being awarded a $15 million firm-fixed-price contract for a preliminary design review assessment for the Unmanned Carrier Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike (UCLASS) Air Vehicle. The objective of the UCLASS system is to enhance aircraft carrier/air wing operations by providing a responsive, world-wide presence via an organic, sea-based Unmanned Aerial System, with persistent intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and targeting, and strike capabilities. General Atomics to Extend Reaper Range

General Atomics Awarded MQ-9 Technology Insertion Contract

General Atomics-Aeronautical Systems, Inc., Poway, Calif., has been awarded a $39,455,726 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the MQ-9 Technology Insertion Technical Solution. This contract action will modify MQ-9 Block 5, Ground Control Station (GCS) Block 30 and GCS Block 50 as required to enable integration and testing of the tech insertion capability. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Medium Altitude Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity. General Atomics Awarded MQ-9 Contract Modification

General Atomics - Aeronautical Systems Inc., Poway, Calif., has been awarded a $23,951,449 modification to a cost-plus-incentive and firm-fixed-price contract for additional 904.6 systems release tasks for the MQ-9 Hunter and Killer System Development and Demonstration (SDD) bridge effort. The total cumulative face value of the contract is $114,143,253. The modification includes additional capabilities added to the basic SDD bridge effort, one aircraft retrofit, and one Systems Integration Laboratory upgrade. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

General Atomics Continues Gray Eagle Support in Afghanistan

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., Poway, Calif., was awarded a $110,261,703 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for Gray Eagle Unmanned Aircraft Systems product support and fleet sustainment operations. The total cumulative face value of this contract is $354,683,431. Work will be performed in Afghanistan. The Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity. 

General Atomics to Activate MQ-1/MQ-9 Depot
