General Atomics Awarded Air Force Contract

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems has received a contract from the U.S. Air Force for $42.6 million. This contract includes all program management; logistics support; configuration management; technical manual and software maintenance; engineering technical services; contractor engineering technical specialists; Core Automated Maintenance System, Reliability and Maintainability Information Systems, and Continuous Emission Monitoring System data collection/entry; and other services for the Predator/Reaper MQ-1 and MQ-9 Unmanned Aircraft System program.

General Atomics has been awarded a $20 million cost-plus-fixed-price contract for research of the primary objective of the Biofuels-Cellulosic and Algal Feedstock program, which is to develop the technical capability commercial algae production experience, resources and commitment to demonstrate and ultimately commercialize the affordable production of JP-8 surrogate fuel from algal feedstock.

General Atomics Aeronautical System has received a $7.9 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to acquire three extended-range multi-purpose Block 0 unmanned aircraft in support of operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
