Boeing Awarded Poseidon Aircraft Funds

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Washington, is being awarded a $30,385,333 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-12-C-0112) for the development of a structural repair manual in support of the P-8A Poseidon Multi-mission Maritime Aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Boeing to Provide P-8As to United States and Australia

The Boeing Company, Seattle, is being awarded a $295,643,284 advance acquisition contract for the procurement of long-lead items for the manufacture and delivery of 12 Lot II Full Rate Production P-8A aircraft for the U.S. Navy (8) and the government of Australia (4). This contract combines purchase for the U.S. Navy ($152,043,495; 51 percent) and the government of Australia ($143,599,789; 49 percent) under a cooperative agreement. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity (N00019-14-C-0067).

Boeing Awarded P-8A Repair Funds

The Boeing Company, Seattle, is being awarded a $44,983,385 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the repairs of 214 various mission system components on the P-8A aircraft. The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon System Support, Philadelphia, is the contracting activity (N00383-14-D-007F).

Boeing to Update Poseidon Software

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded $8,747,003 for cost-plus-fixed-fee, delivery order 3008 against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-11-G-0001) for software updates in support of the P-8A Poseidon aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Receives P-8A Support Contract

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp.-Electronics Sector, Baltimore, Md., is being awarded a $33,017,449 cost-plus-fixed-fee completion job order under basic ordering agreement (N00164-13-G-WT15) to design and build operational test program sets in support of the P-8A AN/ALQ 240 electronic support measures repair depot standup at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity.

Boeing Awarded P-8A Trainer Funds

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $99,606,355 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-09-C-0022) to incorporate a Maintenance Training Device Suite (MTDS) and Ordnance Load Trainer into the P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime aircraft Low Rate Initial Production II. The MTDS Suite will include six Virtual Maintenance Trainer Devices and 14 Hardware Type II devices. The Naval Air System Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Boeing to Upgrade P-8A Trainers

The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $26,650,000 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-09-C-0022) to incorporate the Test Release 21.1 block software upgrade on eight operational flight trainers, six weapons tactics trainers, three part task trainers, and 44 mission system desktop trainers in support of the P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime aircraft low rate initial production II. The Naval Air System Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity. 

XTRA Aerospace Awarded P-8A Support Contract

XTRA Aerospace, Miramar, Fla., is being awarded a $15,958,369 firm-fixed-price contract to procure Boeing 737 commercial spare parts for the low-rate initial production Lot IV effort in support of the P-8A fleet. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-13-C-0147).

Progeny Systems to Develop Net-Ready P-8A Architecture

Progeny Systems Corp., Manassas, Va., is being awarded a $8,257,426 cost-plus-fixed-fee Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract under Topic N121-045, entitled “Maritime Airborne Service Oriented Architecture Integration.” The objective of this SBIR effort is to design and develop a maritime airborne service oriented engineering development model of the P-8A increment 3 architecture. This model is necessary to support the P-8A net ready and interoperability requirements which includes research and development for the source code and the Unified Modeling Language Model. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-13-G-0001).

Boeing Awarded $2 Billion for P-8A Poseidon Low-rate Production

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $2,042,060,385 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-firm contract (N00019-12-C-0112) for the procurement of 13 P-8A multi-mission maritime low-rate initial production (LRIP) Lot IV aircraft and 13 ancillary mission equipment kits in support of the LRIP Lot IV aircraft. In addition this modification includes procurement for one lot of diminishing manufacturing sources and long-lead parts associated with the manufacture of 16 P-8A full-rate production Lot I aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
