Progeny Systems to Develop Net-Ready P-8A Architecture

Progeny Systems Corp., Manassas, Va., is being awarded a $8,257,426 cost-plus-fixed-fee Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract under Topic N121-045, entitled “Maritime Airborne Service Oriented Architecture Integration.” The objective of this SBIR effort is to design and develop a maritime airborne service oriented engineering development model of the P-8A increment 3 architecture. This model is necessary to support the P-8A net ready and interoperability requirements which includes research and development for the source code and the Unified Modeling Language Model. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-13-G-0001).

Boeing Awarded $2 Billion for P-8A Poseidon Low-rate Production

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $2,042,060,385 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-firm contract (N00019-12-C-0112) for the procurement of 13 P-8A multi-mission maritime low-rate initial production (LRIP) Lot IV aircraft and 13 ancillary mission equipment kits in support of the LRIP Lot IV aircraft. In addition this modification includes procurement for one lot of diminishing manufacturing sources and long-lead parts associated with the manufacture of 16 P-8A full-rate production Lot I aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity. 

Boeing to Research P-8 Life Extension

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $128,393,761 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-award-fee contract for engineering labor to perform extended lifetime fatigue testing, teardown, and post-teardown analysis of the P-8A airframe under the P-8A System Development and Demonstration Program. The engineering tasks and analyses are necessary to authorize P-8A operations for up to 150 percent of the specified service life of the airframe, dependent upon the results of the extended lifetime testing. Fiscal 2013 Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation, Navy contract funds in the amount of $128,393,761 are being obligated on this award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River Md., is the contracting activity.

Boeing Awarded P-8A Contract Modification

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $12,354,787 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract for services on three P-8A Training Systems to provide training for P-8A aircraft that operate with a Test Release 12 (TR-12) aircraft software version. In addition, this modification provides for analysis of Aircraft Program Revision Records that define changes to the aircraft between the previously delivered Block 9.2 configuration of training devices and the target TR-12 configuration shall be analyzed for applicability to the training system. The Naval Air System Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity. 

Boeing P-8A Contract Receives $175 Million Modification

Boeing to Update P-8A Electronic Support Measures

Boeing P-8A Contract Modified

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $13,160,440 contract modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of spare parts in support of 10 operational flight trainers, seven weapons tactics trainers, three part task trainers, training systems support center and 15 electronic classrooms for the P-8A program. This contract also provides services including: managing spare parts and delivery, coordinating orders, quotes, and receiving process, procuring Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 15 classified parts, supporting inventory inspection processes, and delivering spares to the government. The Naval Air System Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.   

Boeing Receives Nearly $2 Billion for Poseidon Aircraft

Boeing to Provide P-8A Trainers

The Boeing Company, Seattle, Washington, is being awarded a $28,220,216 contract modification for 22 flight management system trainers; 44 mission systems desktop trainers; two desktop training environments; and updates to the instructional system's design for courseware for the Air Combat Training Continuum in support of the P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime aircraft. In addition, this modification provides for all spares, support, and tools associated with these training devices and non-destructive inspection, training devices and courseware. The Naval Air System Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
