Please read carefully:

The U.S. Department of Defense must grant authority for specific persons and for each specific classified event.  To obtain this authority, a Foreign Visit Request must be submitted by the prospective student's national embassy in the United States or through official NATO channels to the Defense Foreign Liaison Office - phone (703) 614-3254.

Please request that your national embassy task the Foreign Visit Request to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).  Personal, corporate or unit requests are not adequate.

The request should be marked "For Orientation" and designate the AFCEA Course name and Course number.

In most cases, the request is initiated by the appropriate department of the student's national Ministry of Defense (MOD).  The national MOD will transmit the request through the national attaché to the U.S. Department of Defense.

When received from either an embassy or NATO, the Defense Foreign Liaison Office will obtain clearance from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).  They will then inform the national embassy or the NATO security apparatus that the visit request has been approved or denied.  If a pre-registration has been received, AFCEA PDC will notify the student directly when the U.S. Department of Defense's decision is received.

There are no short cuts to this procedure.  Experience indicates completion of this process in six weeks is possible but unlikely.
