Dr. Bhavani Thuraisingham is currently working at the University of Texas at Dallas where she teaches Computer Science and acts as Director of the Cyber Security Research Center in the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science. Dr. Thuraisingham’s work in information security and information management has resulted in over 70 journal articles, over 200 refereed conference papers and workshops, and three US patents. She is the author of seven books in data management, data mining and data security and is completing her eighth book on Trustworthy Semantic Web. She was quoted by Silicon India Magazine as one of the top seven technology innovators of South Asian Origin in the USA in 2002.

Backbone Security

James E. Wingate currently serves as Director of Information Assurance for www.backbonesecurity.com, which provides network security products and services to both government and commercial clients. He is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with more than 22 years of experience in the Information Technology arena. Wingate is a recipient of the Vice President of the United States "Hammer" Award for his efforts in transitioning GWEN sites to the USCG for use in the NDGPS. He is a member of AFCEA, AFA, and TROA and holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science as well as a Masters degree in Computer Engineering.
