AUTHORIZATION AND PAYMENT FOR MILITARY
AND GOVERNMENT PERSONNEL
AFCEA accepts both the U.S. Government Purchase Cards (credit cards)
and DoD Form DD 1556.
Payment with the credit card can be made either by phone to the PDC
Registrar, 703-631-6137, or during registration through our website's
secure server.
Department of Defense Form DD 1556; "Request, Authorization Agreement
and Certification of Training and Reimbursement" provides the mechanisms
for applying and paying for the course. This all inclusive document allows
appropriate supervisors to complete all necessary actions. When completed,
the form provides a purchase order to pay the appropriate fees for the
course.
The Form DD 1556 can be obtained from Training Officers or Educational
Offices. The applicant completes the first 20 blocks on the form, obtains
his or her supervisor's signature and sends it to the Authorization Officer.
After authorization, the form is sent to the Financial Office where the
necessary accounting data is entered. After a final signature by the Training
Officer, the application is complete in most agencies.
The completed Form DD 1556 should be sent to AFCEA Professional Development
Center, 4400 Fair Lakes Ct., Fairfax, VA 22033-3899 before the course
convening date if possible. However, registration should not be delayed
awaiting a Form DD 1556. Endorsing the PDC application Form, "DD
Form 1556 to follow" will reserve a seat.
