Course Description:

This two-day lecture and demonstration course with hands-on labs covers the Social Media Security Professional Common Body of Knowledge and prepares the student for the Social Media Security Professional (SMSP) Certification Exam Powered by CompTIA.  The Social Media Security Course is designed for individuals who must acquire knowledge to anticipate attacks and guard sensitive information from social media hackers.  In this course you will explore the theories and principles behind all of the mainstream social media venues, delve into the technical composition of the big social media platforms, explore the security risks associated with social media, and develop an incident response team to address situations that may arise with a forensics approach. Registration for this class includes the SMSP certification exam at the end of class at no additional cost.  Regular value of exam is over $200.00.

Certification:  After completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the Social Media Security Professional examination and earn the SMSP Certification. 

Who should attend
The course is designed for individuals with experience in the cybersecurity space. SMSP Certification candidate job roles include: information security/assurance technician, network technician, security administrator, systems administrator, network administrator, security architect, security engineer or any other role that is responsible for information security.

1. Social Media Theory and Principles
2. Social Media Technical Composition
3. Social Media Risks
4. Social Media Security & Incident Response
5. Social Media Security Management

UKI Social Media Security Prerequisites
Previous social media cybersecurity experience is recommended but not required to attend the Social Media Security Training.
