FY04
FUND DRIVE CHALLENGE!
The
AFCEA Educational Foundation is pleased to announce the Northrop
Grumman Challenge for 2004 educational contributions. For every
$5,000 contributed this year to the Foundation from corporations,
AFCEA Chapters or individuals, Northrop Grumman will match up to
$50,000 of those donations. This dollar-for dollar matching incentive
provides an opportunity for the Foundation to receive $100,000 from
the Challenge.
Admiral
Paul E. Tobin, Executive Director, responded, "We are very
grateful for Northrop Grumman's strong support and urge everyone
to step up to the Challenge."
MATCHING GIFTS -
Did you know?
Many
corporations and corporate foundations now offer Matching Gift Programs.
You can multiply your gift to the AFCEA Educational Foundation's
Fund Drive if your employer has a Matching Gift program.
Thousands of companies have programs that will double, or even triple,
individual tax-deductible contributions made by their employees.
Please check with your human resources office or company website
to find out about Matching Gift Program options.
CHANGES - NEW
FOUNDATION FACES!
February saw a fond farewell to long-time
AFCEA employee and Ed Foundation Administrative Assistant, Suzanne
Harman. We wish her all the best in her retirement!
March brings a hearty welcome to Jaclyn Adamouski, who was selected
for the vacant post of Administrative Assistant. Jacklyn has been
the PDC Registrar for the past year and looks forward to working
the "scholarship side" of the Foundation. Welcome Jackie!
The PDC is pleased
to announce Keith Ponikowski as the new Registrar as of March 8!
Welcome Keith!
Please bear with us
as we adjust to new faces and new roles!

CAUTION
WITH CRITERIA - Reminder
Please
remember that AFCEA membership CANNOT be a criteria for scholarship
eligibility. Take a moment now to review your requirements and be
sure this stipulation does not exist. Thank you!
PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT -
A benefit for everyone!
Please
take a moment to check out the classes offered by AFCEA's Professional
Development Center (PDC) this year at http://www.afcea.org/education/index.htm
-- several new courses have been added to the curriculum for the
spring semester.
Revenues from the PDC cover 100% of the AFCEA Educational Foundation's
operating costs. This allows us to convert each dollar raised into
almost two dollars in scholarships. Please remember the PDC the
next time you think about professional development for you or your
staff!
