Young AFCEAN Cyber Security
Certification Scholarship


              

             

                     

 

With the financial support of Booz Allen Hamilton, CSC, LGS, Lockheed Martin, Powertek, SANS, Terremark Worldwide, the AFCEA Cyber Committee, AFCEA International, and the AFCEA Education Foundation, $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to candidates currently pursuing a DOD 8570.01-M Certification directly related to the mission of AFCEA.  AFCEA Professional Development Center (PDC) Cyber Security courses are eligible.

Applicants must be a Young AFCEAN (age 40 or under) with demonstrated Cyber Security talents or accomplishments.

The scholarship is intended for Young AFCEANS seeking to gain certification in support of National Cyber Security efforts.

Eligibility:

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and a young AFCEAN.

Applicants must be working towards DoD 8570.01-M Certification directly related to the mission of AFCEA.  Enrollment in an AFCEA PDC Cyber Security course is eligible.

Primnary factors considered in the selection process are demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and financial need.

NOTE:  At least two letters of reccomendation will be required, one of which must be from an institution or certification program administrator or instructor.

Instructions on electronic submission of the recommended letters will be provided to the endorsers as part of the on-line application process - please do not mail seperatly.  Letters will be addressed to:

Proof of registration dates of course (or date when registered) must be submitted, in PDF format if possible. Acceptable proofs of registration are: official course registration indicating name of applicant and the name of the institution where the certification course will be taken or a copy of the tuition bill.  Note:  The PDC Registrar can assist with AFCEA PDC Cyber Security courses.

Proof of registration must include the name address and phone number of the certification contact.
