International Chapter Proposals:
To support a Science Fair for science projects at military high schools in Argentina.
To establish a High Altitude Balloon Competition in conjunction with the University of Rome Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Advanced Communication and Navigation Satellite Systems.
U.S. Chapter Proposals:
To kick-start scholarship program in local community as a result of BRAC relocation.
To assist with 3 initiatives in local high schools: Roboticsw, Geospatial Sciences programs, and expand Science Teaching Tools grants.
Joint proposal from 2 chapters to support the 58th annual Tidewater Regional Science Fair (TRSF) at Old Dominion University.
To sponsor Burlington Public Schools "Rocket Days" - a 3-day event for 4th grade students (130+ student impact). NOTE: Young AFCEAN project
To sponsor four Aero Challenge Days in partnership with City of Lowell's YMCA @ $1,200 per event. NOTE: Young AFCEAN project
To expand participation in MATH COUNTS, a full-day nationally sponsored event. NOTE: Young AFCEAN project
To bring broadband to underprivileged elementary schools in the local area. NOTE: Young AFCEAN partnership project.
To fund first George Mason University Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering C4I Center scholar.
To help fund 10 new Science Olympian teams - 5 high school and 5 middle school teams to prepare them for 2010 State tournament - 6th year support.
To provide scholarship funds to San Diego AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) students in 2-year or 4-year colleges.
To provide funding to science teachers in grades 5-12 in support of Robotics programs.
To establish a STEM Internship program for three San Diego high school students for summer research.
