Special Award of Merit

In an effort to recognize the exceptional commitment on the part of individuals who are dedicated to the mission of AFCEA education, the AFCEA Education Foundation in 2005 established the Special Award of Merit.

This award seeks to acknowledge the outstanding accomplishment of an individual who has contributed to one distinctive and noteworthy aspect of the educational mission of AFCEA.  The recipient will have exhibited an indispensable contribution to the success or endurance of an undertaking or experience that has significantly impacted the role of AFCEA within a community or organization.

The Special Award of Merit is reserved for outstanding accomplishment and may not be conferred every year.  In exceptional cases, a second award can be bestowed.

Candidates for this award are accepted from AFCEA Chapter presidents, Educational Foundation and AFCEA International Board members, Executive Committee members, and AFCEA International senior staff members.

The Educational Foundation Board of Directors will select the recipient by consensus agreement and present the award at an AFCEA major event.
