The Honor Certificate Award Program is designed to recognize ROTC cadet and midshipman achievements in leadership and academics.

The award includes a framed parchment certificate with the honoree's name prominently inscribed and a ribbon bar. Honor Award recipients will also receive a year membership to AFCEA International, which includes a subscription to SIGNAL Magazine, the ability to join a local AFCEA chapter, excellent networking opportunities through chapter and regional activities, and discounted tuition at select schools and programs. This program is separate and distinct from the AFCEA Scholarship Program, but an ROTC student may apply for and receive both. Recipients of the awards will be selected by individual Professors of Military Science, Naval Science, or Aerospace Studies in accordance with the appropriate Service Department Regulation. Each interested ROTC unit may make one Honor Award nomination annually. The Army, Navy/Marine Corps and Air Force ROTC units at an institution may each submit one nomination.
