Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math

(STEM) Majors Scholarships for

Undergraduate and Graduate Students


Co-sponsored by Booz Allen Hamilton, AFCEA Central Maryland Chapter,

AFCEA Cyber Committee, AFCEA Intelligence Committee, and the

AFCEA Educational Foundation.

STEM Major Application

For the 2014-2015 Academic Year, applicants will be considered for all AFCEA STEM Major scholarship opportunities for which they are qualified.  Applications will be accepted from current eligible undergraduate and graduate-level students majoring in STEM fields to include Cyber Security, Intelligence and Homeland Security-related disciplines.  Online programs are eligible.



NOTE:  U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants.

Scholarships of varying amounts will be awarded to students studying STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) majors, Cyber Security, Intelligence, Homeland Security or related fields. Students must be attending full-time in an eligible undergraduate or graduate degree-granting program with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Full time graduate study requires enrollment in at least two (2) semester-equivalent courses per term.

Qualifying majors include: electrical, computer, chemical, systems, or aerospace engineering; computer science; computer information systems; technology management; management information systems; physics; mathematics; bioinformatics; global security and intelligence studies, foreign language; homeland security; or other majors related to the mission of AFCEA.



In addition to the online application, other required documents include: current transcript issued by the school Registrar's Office and at least two letters of recommendation from relevant faculty.

Instructions for electronic submission of the recommendation letters will be provided to the endorsers as part of the on-line application process - please do not mail separately. Letters will be addressed to:
