(STEM) Majors Scholarships
Undergraduate and Graduate Students
Graduate Scholarships are made possible in part by
a generous contribution from CSC Defense.
STEM Major Application
(Important information below)
For the 2012-2013 Academic Year, applicants must complete the appropriate application that relates to current academic status: undergraduate, graduate or certification. Applicants will be considered for all AFCEA STEM Major scholarship opportunities for which they are qualified. Online programs are eligible.
Scholarships awarded for STEM Majors include:
- AFCEA STEM Major Undergraduate Scholarship
- CSC Defense Graduate Scholarship
- CSC Defense Technical Certification Scholarship
- General John A. Wickham Undergraduate Scholarship
- Young Entrepreneur Scholarship (undergraduate/graduate)
Eligibility: |
NOTE: U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants.
Scholarships of varying amounts will be awarded to students studying STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) majors or related fields. Students must be attending full-time in an eligible undergraduate degree program with a GPA of 3.4 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Qualifying STEM Majors include: electrical, computer, chemical, systems, or aerospace engineering; computer science; computer information systems; technology management; management information systems; physics; mathematics;
bioinformatics; or other majors related to the mission of AFCEA.

In addition to the online application, other required documents include: current transcript issued by the school Registrar's Office and at least two letters of recommendation from relevant faculty.
Instructions for electronic submission of the recommendation letters will be provided to the endorsers as part of the on-line application process - please do not mail separately. Letters will be addressed to:

An official transcript reflecting all college-level study will also be required by the deadline date - electronic submission preferred.
