AFCEA Intelligence and Cyber Security Scholarships
Co-sponsored by Booz Allen Hamilton, Cobham Analytic Solutions, Computer Sciences Corporation, LGS, LinQuest Corporation, Lockheed Martin, Powertek, SANS, Terremark Worldwide, Inc., AFCEA Intelligence & Cyber Committees,
AFCEA International, and the AFCEA Educational Foundation.
-Scholarships of $2,250 (Undergraduate) and scholarships of $5,000 (graduate) each will be awarded to students enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree-granting programs in fields directly related to the support of U.S. intelligence or homeland security enterprises, and/or foreign languages.*
-Scholarships of $5,000 will be awarded to undergraduate students pursuing academic degrees in cyber security, cyber attack, computer science, information technology,digital forensics, or electronic engineering from an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States.*
-Scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to Young AFCEAN** candidates currently pursuing a DOD 8570.01-M Certification directly related to the mission of AFCEA in a Cyber Security- related field. Enrollment in an AFCEA Professional Development Center (PDC) Cyber Security course is eligible.
*Distance-Learning or Online programs affiliated with a major U.S. institution are eligible.
**A Young AFCEAN is an AFCEA member under the age of 40.

Applications are requested from qualified sophomore and junior undergraduate students and graduate students enrolled full time in an eligible degree-granting program. Must be at least second-year student, regardless of academic hours accumulated.
Applicants must be currently enrolled at the time of application in a two-year or four-year accredited college or university in the United States. Distance-learning programs are eligible.
U.S. citizenship required.
A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
Candidates must be majoring in a field directly related to the support of U.S. intelligence, cyber security, or homeland security enterprises with relevance to the mission of AFCEA such as global security and intelligence studies, foreign languages, cyber security, cyber attack, computer science, digital forensics, information technology, or electronic engineering.
These are merit scholarships based on demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and financial need. |
