The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) is ideally located in the very heart of Westminster in London. Less than five minutes walk from St James's Park and Westminster underground stations, 15 minutes from Victoria and Waterloo stations and only a 30 minute tube ride from Heathrow Airport.

 

How to get there

 

Tube:

       

Westminster Station (0.1 miles) Jubilee, Circle and District Lines:
Exit the station via the underground tunnel towards Parliament Square (exit 6). You will come to street level on Whitehall. Turn left into Parliament Square, cross the road ahead of you then turn right into Broad Sanctuary. The Centre is located on your right, directly opposite Westminster Abbey.

 

St James’ Park Station (0.1 miles) Circle and District Lines:
Take the Broadway exit from the tube station and walk straight down Tothill Street. At the end of this street, turn left and you will see the Centre directly in front of you.

 

Victoria Tube Station (0.7 miles) Victoria, Circle and District Lines:
Exit from the front of the station, turn right and walk down Victoria Street. At the end of Victoria Street is Broad Sanctuary, the Centre is on the left hand side, opposite Westminster Abbey.

 

Train:

         

Charing Cross (0.7 miles):
Exit the front of Charing Cross Station and turn left towards Trafalgar Square. Turn left down Whitehall and continue until Parliament Square. Follow parliament square around to the right and turn right onto Broad Sanctuary. The Centre is on your right, directly opposite Westminster Abbey.

 

Victoria (0.7 miles):
Exit the front of Victoria Station, walk across the bus stand area and turn right onto Victoria Street. Continue along Victoria Street until you reach Westminster Abbey. The Centre is on your left, directly opposite Westminster Abbey.

 

Waterloo (1 mile):
Exit the station onto York Road. Turn left and walk to the roundabout with County Hall Hotel on your right. Cross York Road and take Westminster Bridge Road on your right. Cross the bridge to Parliament Square and follow Parliament Square around to the right. Turn right on to Broad Sanctuary. The Centre is on your right, directly opposite Westminster Abbey.

 

Air:

         

Heathrow:
Take the tube to Green Park on the Piccadilly line. Change to the Jubilee line and stop at Westminster.
Approximate journey time: 1 hour.

Alternatively take the Heathrow Express to Paddington and then take the Circle line tube to Westminster.
Approximate journey time: 1 hour

 

Gatwick:
Take the Gatwick Express to Victoria. The Centre is a 15 minute walk from Victoria via Victoria Street.
Approximate journey time: 45 minutes.

 

Stansted:
Take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street and then take the Circle line tube to Westminster.
Approximate journey time: 1 hour.

 

London City Airport:
Take the Jubilee line from the airport to Westminster.
Approximate journey time: 45 minutes.

 

Luton Airport:
Take one of the special connecting buses from the airport to Luton rail station, where trains run frequently to Kings Cross and then take the Circle line tube to Westminster.
Approximate journey time: 1 hour 15 minutes.

      - EXHIBITORS

Personnel manning the stands must register to receive a badge. An Exhibitor Pre-Registration Form is included in the Exhibitor Manual sent to all exhibitors in July 2010.

 

      - VISITORS

The access to the exposition is free of charge. A Visitor’s Registration form is available on this website, click here.

  

  

Pre-registration is required prior to 13 October 2010.

All registrants will receive a confirmation notice. Your badge will be available on-site at the “Registration desk” located at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. Everyone must wear this badge at all times whilst attending the event. Official identification will be requested for badge collection.

 

SMEs Open Forum

         

A unique event for Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) – and large companies may be interested, too!

LtGen. Kurt Herrmann, GE AF, Director NATO CIS Services Agency and Ms. Christine Vandenberghe, Principal Contracting Officer NATO C3 Agency will be available on Wednesday 27 October from 1400 to answer your questions on how SMEs can take advantage of contract opportunities to meet NATO’s CIS requirements. “How to Do Business with NATO”, if you like, but a one-off opportunity to talk with the leading service and equipment providers of CIS for NATO’s current operations.

 

Dinner

        

A dinner will be held at the prestigious Oriental Club on Wednesday 27 October. The club is situated in Stratford House located in Stratford Place which has its entrance off Oxford Street nearly opposite the Bond Street Tube Station.

The after-dinner speaker will be Vice Admiral 'Harry' Harris, USN, Commander U.S. Naval Forces Europe, Commander U.S. Naval Forces Africa, Commander US Sixth Fleet. The aim is to gather at 1900 for an aperitif and then sit down to dine at 1945. There will be a cash bar after the dinner. The dress will be business suits (with ties!). There are opportunities for both individuals to buy tickets or for company-sponsored tables of 10. The aim is to set the scene for TechNet International whilst offering exclusive access to one of London's best Clubs.

There are only 100 seats available for the dinner so early registration is advisable.

Travel and Accommodation

      

Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements and payment.

 

The Corporate Team, the QEIICC's appointed hotel booking agency, will provide hotel accommodation for TechNet delegates.

 

Overnight accommodation is not included in the registration fee. However, reduced rates have been arranged at the various hotels which are in close proximity to The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre.

It is advisable to book early as London is extremely busy over this period.

 

When should I pay for the Conference?

  

When registering and prior to 13 October 2010. Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer before the event. A confirmation letter and an invoice will be sent for VAT purposes. They will be e-mailed to you as soon as the payment is processed.

 

As an exhibitor, how can I get all the technical information?

  

An exhibitor Manual including shell scheme order forms, shipping instructions, etc. was sent to all exhibitors in July 2010. For further information, please contact the AFCEA office.

 

When will I receive my conference material?

      

Your badge and a Final Programme will be distributed on arrival at the Registration Desk located at the QEIICC.

 

Presentations

   

All presentations authorised for publication by the speakers will be available on our website after the event. 

 

What should I wear?

  

The dress code is business suit.
