This three-day professional development event allows active duty military, government, industry and academia to collaborate on the key issues critical to defense and have the opportunity to engage on multiple levels to help set the agendas for future operations, training, and force structure.

5th AFCEA Europe Student Conference
in conjunction with TechNet Europe 2013
TechNet Europe 2013 will be held on May 28 – 29 in Poland at the Hilton Warsaw Hotel in cooperation with the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces and the Warsaw Military University of Technology and will be focusing on “Big Data – Security Challenge/Demand for Spectrum”, encompassing the defence and security sector as well as the commercial sector. After 2004 this will be the second time that the conference will be held in Poland. It will include an exhibition that will provide companies in the field of communications, electronics and IT an opportunity to present their products to experts from all over Europe and the USA. Like last year in Prague there will also be a Business to Business (B2B) Workshop one day prior to the conference, on May 27. All the TechNet Europe participants, sponsors and exhibitors will have the opportunity to meet briefly in one place with many other companies – big, small and medium enterprises from around the world, especially from Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic – to identify options for future cooperation.

Biometric Consortium Conference and Technology Expo

The 2013 Biometric Consortium Conference and Technology Expo (BCC), presented by AFCEA, NIST and NSA, will address the important role that biometrics plays in identification and verification of individuals for government and commercial applications worldwide. The BCC will be two and a half days of presentations, seminars and panel discussions with the participation of internationally recognized experts in biometric technologies, system and application developers, IT business strategists, and government and commercial officers. The BCC focuses on biometric technologies for homeland security, identity management, border crossing, electronic commerce, and other applications.

Army Intelligence Industry Day

On September 20, 2013, AFCEA Intelligence and Office of the Army’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence will present a one day classified forum examining the state of intelligence in the U.S. Army. Attendees will gain a greater understanding of Army intelligence requirements in a changing fiscal and operational environment, plus a sense of where the private sector can best contribute to support Army intelligence.
