Memo to Industry! On May 23, 2012, AFCEA Intelligence and the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Headquarters U.S. Air Force will present a classified forum examining the state of ISR in the U.S. Air Force and among its mission partners. This is a must attend event with a line-up including The Honorable Michael Donley (invited), Secretary of the Air Force; conference host Lt Gen Larry James, USAF, Deputy Chief of Staff for ISR; Lt Gen Charles Davis, USAF, Commander, Electronic Systems Center; Mr. Randall Walden, Director of Information Dominance Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisitions; Maj Gen Robert Otto, USAF, Commander, Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Agency, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas; and Brig Gen Burke Wilson, USAF, Director, Air Component Coordination Element Air Forces Cyber. Air Force contributions to global situational awareness in the form of integrated air, space and cyber ISR operations, as well as analysis and dissemination of data, increasingly will require industry’s focus on technology development and delivery of ISR capabilities. Speakers in this one-day, classified conference will cover current Air Force ISR development, fielding, and funding strategies as well as future requirements. In addition, they will highlight initiatives to increase Air Force ISR capabilities, the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System, ISR and the cyber fight, the ISR requirements and acquisition process, and more! The day will conclude with a panel featuring the day’s speakers addressing questions from the audience. Attendees will gain a greater understanding of Air Force ISR, plus a sense of where the private sector can best contribute to global situational awareness across the spectrum of international security demands, including peacetime surveillance and deterrence, counterterrorism, and joint combat operations. We look forward to seeing you at Air Force ISR Industry Day 2012! Sincerely, Lt Gen Bruce Wright, USAF (Ret.) Vice President, C4ISR Lockheed Martin Corporation Conference Chairman and Member of the AFCEA Intelligence Committee |
