4-Day Ride

The 4-Day Ride is a great option for those that are not fully confident in being able to make the full ride, whether due to time or experience constraints. This option starts in Cumberland, Maryland at the end of the Great Allegheny Passage and the beginning of the C&O Canal Towpath. The Great Allegheny Passage holds the vast majority of the uphill riding so this option allows less experienced riders to still take part in a very meaningful way. (Note: Though this option is easier than the full ride, it is still very physically challenging and requires adequate training.)

Riders will be responsible for securing transportation to Cumberland on the night of July 15th or in the early morning of July 16th. The full 6-Day Riders will be arriving in the afternoon of the 15th and will join up with those doing the 4-Day Ride before departing on the morning of the 16th. The full itinerary for the four days is below. For some tips from a cycling expert on completing the 4-Day ride comfortably, visit the Training/Gear page.

*4-Day ride participants are asked to reach a fundraising goal of $500 prior to the first day of your ride.  You provide the pedal power, and our fundraising team will provide you with the support to help you meet and exceed your fundraising goal. Click here for our Fundraising Toolkit.
