Innovation, agility, and customer focus – the US Intelligence Community (IC) needs what small businesses have to offer.
Getting started doing business with the IC, though, can be challenging. How do small companies gain the insight, access and knowledge they need to effectively serve this market? How can they navigate security requirements and market their products to organizations that operate in a highly classified world? And, given the hurdles, is it worth it?
The AFCEA Intelligence and Small Business Committees will help answer these questions with a special half-day forum designed specifically for small companies. This unique event is based on the premises that not only are there compelling opportunities for small businesses to serve IC, but that the IC cannot accomplish its mission without the support of small businesses!
On Wednesday, June 23, 2010, AFCEA will host an information-packed half-day program designed to demystify the IC for small businesses.
The take away for attendees will be insights, tools, and resources they can use to help decide if selling to the IC is right for them and, if so, how best to do it. IC agency Small Business Advocates will be available for face-to-face questions and networking. In addition, small businesses that have been successful in the intelligence market will talk about their experiences. Security experts will address the ever challenging security clearance issue.
This event is full and we regret that we will not be able to accomodate anyone on the wait list. As a service to those of you who will not be able to join us in person, we are offering the opportunity to listen to the audio portion on the forum live over the internet.
The widget above will allow you to pre-register to be sent a reminder email the morning of the broadcast. This email will contain a link to take you directly into the session. You can also wait until the broadcast opens up a few minutes before the start of the session on June 23rd and click the "Join" button that will appear on the page just prior to the session start time.
Note: Audio for this webinar will be delivered over the web using the Dimdim platform.
AFCEA is utilizing the dimdim.com service to provide the web conferencing features for online broadcasts. Their online conferencing tool supports IE, Firefox, and Safari web browsers with the latest Flash plugin installed. It is highly recommended that prior to the session you test your system for compatibility with the online testing tool available here: DimDim Browser/Flash Check Tool
The tool checks for Operating System, Browser, and Flash player requirements. If all tests pass it will redirect you to the dimdim home page when it completes. Once system compatability is confirmed it is also recommended that you join one of the free DimDim training broadcasts to ensure there are no network/firewall issues at your location blocking audio and/or video. The free training sessions happen almost every weekday and can be found on the main DimDim home page: http://www.dimdim.com
To troubleshoot problems, or to learn more about how to use the tool, additional online help including Forums, Video Tutorials, and FAQs can be found here: http://www.dimdim.com/support/dimdim_tools.html
