How to Engage with AFCEA
Small Business

This event occurred on June 23, 2011.

Innovation. Agility. Customer Focus.

The US Intelligence Community (IC) needs what small businesses have to offer.

Getting started doing business with the IC, though, can be challenging. How do small companies gain the insight, access and knowledge they need to effectively serve this market? How can they navigate security requirements and market their products to organizations that operate in a highly classified world?  And, given the hurdles, is it worth it?

The AFCEA Intelligence and Small Business Committees will help answer these questions with a special half-day forum designed specifically for small companies.  This unique event is based on the premises that not only are there compelling opportunities for small businesses to serve IC, but that the IC cannot accomplish its mission without the support of small businesses!

On Thursday, June 23, 2011, AFCEA will host an information-packed half-day program designed to demystify the IC for small businesses.   The Forum will take place in the Mason Inn and Conference Center on the campus of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.

Mason Inn and Conference Center

4352 Mason Pond Drive

Fairfax, VA 22030

The take away for attendees will be insights they can use to help decide if selling to the IC is right for them and, if so, how best to do it. IC agency Small Business Advocates will be available for face-to-face questions and networking.  In addition, small businesses that have been successful in the intelligence market will talk about their experiences.  Security experts will address the ever challenging security clearance issue.
