Special Notice Regarding Government and Military Attendee Fees

AFCEA Intelligence offers a special discounted registration rate for active government and military personnel.  This special rate does not apply to contractors who work for or with the government or military.

Member Registration Discounts

To receive the member rate for symposium registration you must be an active AFCEA individual member or designated associate member of an AFCEA corporate member company.  If you sign up for the member rate and do not meet the criteria, you will be charged the correct rate.

Symposium Start Times

The Symposium will begin at 8:00 a.m. on both days.

Cancellations, Refunds, and Substitutions

Refund requests must be emailed to Sandy Campbell and received no later than March 8, 2012.  Cancellation requests received by that date will be refunded in full.  No substitutions are permitted after March 21, 2012.

If you register and later determine that you are unable to attend because you do not have the proper security clearance, you must submit a cancellation request in writing to AFCEA Intelligence, 4400 Fair Lakes Court, Fairfax, VA, 22033, prior to March 8, 2012.  Your request must be accompanied by a written statement from your security officer confirming that you do not have a Top Secret clearance with SI/TK access.

All attendees must be cleared for Top Secret, and currently indoctrinated for SI and TK access at the time you register.**

Attendees WITH IC blue or green badges do not need to pass clearances.***

Attendees WITHOUT IC blue or green badges must arrange for their Special Security Officer (SSO) or Contractor Special Security Officer (CSS) to send an SSO- or CSSS- originated clearance certification message to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

The clearance message must be on official letterhead and include the following:

*Authority for soliciting Social Security Numbers (SSAN) is Executive Order 9397. SSAN’s will be used to identify attendees within the NGA’s access approval system. Disclosure of a SSAN is voluntary, but failure to do so may result in delay or denial of access to NGA facilities.

**The NGA does not grant interim TK access--applicants for registration must be cleared TS//SI/TK. The NGA will not provide any "read-in/read-out" security services.

***Symposium attendees whether IC badged or not must process through the visitor center to obtain a conference center badge.

Clearance Deadline: March 8, 2012

Timely passage of your clearance/accesses is important. If your clearance is not passed as required, you will not be able to attend the symposium. Deadline for submitting clearances is March 8, 2012.

All symposium attendees will be required to show a valid state or federal issued photo identification (i.e. a drivers license, state identification card, passport). Non-US citizens will be required to show a valid passport.

- From I-95 South
-Take Exit 166B Heller Rd
- At the intersection, veer RIGHT onto Heller Rd.

- Continue on Heller Rd to the intersection of Heller Rd & Barta Rd.

- At the intersection, turn LEFT onto Barta Rd.

- Continue on Barta Rd to the intersection of Barta Rd and GEOINT Drive.

-Turn LEFT onto GEOINT Drive and watch for the AFCEA event signs.

-From Backlick/Barta
- Proceed on Barta Rd
- Continue on Barta Rd to the intersection of Barta Rd and GEOINT Drive
