AFCEA Intelligence offers a special discounted registration rate for active federal government and military personnel. This special rate does not apply to contractors who work for or with the government or military.
To receive the member rate for symposium registration you must be an active AFCEA individual member or designated associate member of an AFCEA corporate member company. If you sign up for the member rate and do not meet the criteria, you will be charged the correct rate.
To join AFCEA or verify current membership status:
The Symposium will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10 and 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 11.
Refund requests must be emailed to Gretchen Eisenhower and received no later than March 5, 2013. Cancellation requests received by that date will be refunded in full. No substitutions are permitted after March 19, 2013
If you register and later determine that you are unable to attend because you do not have the proper security clearance, you must submit a cancellation request in writing to AFCEA Intelligence, 4400 Fair Lakes Court, Fairfax, VA, 22033, prior to March 5, 2013 to be eligible for a refund. Your request must be accompanied by a written statement from your security officer confirming that you do not have a Top Secret clearance with SI/TK access.
All attendees must be cleared for Top Secret, and currently indoctrinated for SI and TK access at the time you register.**
Attendees WITH IC blue or green badges do not need to pass clearances.*** Please verify with your badging office that your IC badge is enabled to work at NGA facilities.
Attendees WITHOUT IC blue or green badges must arrange for their Special Security Officer (SSO) or Contractor Special Security Officer (CSS) to send an SSO- or CSSS- originated clearance certification message to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
The clearance message must be on official letterhead and include the following:
Attendee’s full name
Place of Birth
Country of Citizenship
*Authority for soliciting Social Security Numbers (SSAN) is Executive Order 9397. SSAN’s will be used to identify attendees within the NGA’s access approval system. Disclosure of a SSAN is voluntary, but failure to do so may result in delay or denial of access to the NGA VCC.
**The NGA does not grant interim TK access--applicants for registration must be cleared TS//SI/TK. The NGA will not provide any "read-in/read-out" security services.
***Symposium attendees whether IC badged or not must process through the visitor center to obtain a conference center badge.
Security Officers should pass clearances via:
