Description: The Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) develops, educates and trains over 500,000 Soldiers, civilians, and leaders annually across 32 schools. As the army transitions into the future, DoD technologies will play an increasingly critical role in helping the TRADOC shape the Army of 2020, develop adaptive leaders  and revolutionize training. As the Army redeploys from 10 years of war and faces an environment of constrained resources, a key effort the command is focused on is keeping home station training exciting and relevant, in particular for a new generation of Soldiers. To address this area, key TRADOC efforts such as Doctrine 2015 and the Army Learning Model will seek to leverage DoD and commercial technologies to enable delivery of training and education at the point of need for the force. Leveraging capabilities of the network, mobile technologies and collaborative tools will be key as the TRADOC places increased emphasis on utilizing virtual technologies, gaming, and distributed learning to keep training and education relevant without sacrificing standards. The Command must also be able to enable ease of access to content and applications for vetted users, without compromising security. The presentation will discuss these topics  and highlight ongoing efforts that TRADOC is engaging in to leverage existing technologies, share lessons learned across the Services  and build partnerships necessary achieve it’s intended vision.
